Yes, you're doing something incorrectly: you're trying to use line breaks inside captions, and this messes the code. Image captions are meant for a single line of plain text - no line breaks, no links, no nothing.
Best thing to do is delete everything and re-do the page, inserting the images without captions and adding the texts as regular text below each image.

I have a page that I add to frequently with an image and attached caption. However, my images will no longer display. From my dashboard I see what looks like a broken image icon, however the caption information does still display. I have done this many times in the past without an issue. This problem only appears to have arisen since the media upload process/interface has changed. I'm not sure if I am doing something incorrectly or if this is a bigger problem.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you searched the WordAds Forums for answers to the same question?
Please see what Staff, Jon Burke said here:

The Triple Ad unit option requires approval by FM [Federated Media] - the advertising partner for that layout. We submit all the WordAds sites to them and if then the sites they approve we ask if they would like to move to the triple theme. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/triple-ad-unit-themes?replies=5#post-922109

Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page and you cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.

If you want to you can place a text widget at the top of your sidebar and include a brief message to let you readers know they need to click either the title or comment link.

I recently set up a blog on a seperate domain using the wordpress download... http://www.backtothefeature.co.uk

However, when I want to upload images, I do this using the uploader, but they do not show up at all, even in the draft! When I preview the post, the images are still not there. If I go into my Host control panel I can view the images there, so I know that the uploader is putting them on correctly, but they are not being displayed.

I have tried disabling all plugins to see if it was a clash, this has not worked. The only reason I have images on my site are basic copy/paste from my old wordpress blog and URL links. Since I set this site up, the uploader has never worked.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Right but the front page for this theme doesn't show the content of the most recent blog post. Which is basically all I want. All it shows is the headline of the previous post and a white box, unless I choose a feature image.

I solved the issue by taking a screen grab photo of the video and making that the feature image. I didn't know prior to testing that that box would link to the post when you click on it. (great feature!)

So now it is working as I wanted.

All themes display the most recent post in reverse chronological order on the page designated for posts which is by default the front page of the blog. This is the same on any theme.

You cannot make "the most recent post" into a landing page. Posts and Pages are different. The front page of our blogs is set by default. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page for your site, and also create a “blog” page for your posts to display on and designate that change here > Settings > Reading

Here's the issue - when I insert images into my blog, some of my readers have told me they can't see them. They appear as a gray box and then if they click on them they will display correctly. I did find out that at least two of these readers got the message "If you want to view only the web page content deliverly securely via an https connection" and they clicked yes. This resulted in them being unable to see the photos. Anything I can do? Thank you for your help!

The PDF thing helped, thanks!
Still can't get other images to display, maybe I will upload them to Flickr and blog from there. By any means, right?

- If all you want is the image, copy its URL (from "http" to "jpg") and paste it in the post or page editor (click the "Add an Image" button, click "From URL", etc.). You can include the legend in the "caption" option, or you can write it as plain text in the editor.

- PDFs cannot be directly displayed: you can only have a LINK to your uploaded PDF. Make sure you click "File URL" before inserting it.

Are you sure Polyvore allows hotlinking? Not all sites do. I don't see anything weird except I always put width AFTER the URL. Move it to beside Height and you might just fix it right there.
