I believe it's an amazing tool for connecting with the readers of one's website and it is very sad that we cannot use it unless we are self-hosting. I am thinking of moving my blog to Blogger for this very reason.

I contacted Disqus support and they stated that the problem seems to be coming from WordPress and not Disqus.

I believe Disqus functions a lot better than what WordPress offers, no offense to WordPress workers themselves or whatnot. I would just feel a ton better with Disqus. Installing WordPress is far too complicated for my tastes (and very time-consuming), so I would like it if there was an option to import or use Disqus via the .com site.

why aren't the images I already chosen featured?

All the themes that have featured images have different dimensions for featured images. In other words, featured image sizes are theme specific. In addition some require setting the posts with featured images in them as sticky posts and some don't.

On Demand is a premium theme and read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. The premium theme forums are at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/ with separate sections for each theme. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/on-demand

If you are not successful when searching and you have purchased that theme then there will be a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

I am trying to add disqus to my wordpress blog but am having issues- I realize it does not accept plug ins but Disqus seems to be a regular addition to it. Any ideas: here's the instructions:

In the left panel of your WordPress admin, select Plugins > Add New
Search for "Disqus" and find the plugin provided by "Disqus".
Select Install Now > Activate Plugin
Proceed with the onscreen install instructions.
