Hi @jeremykun,

Hmm, I see what you mean. Here are a couple things to try:

* Re-upload the image and re-insert it into the post. It's possible the original was corrupted somehow during the upload process.
* Try saving the image in a different format (JPG) and re-uploading/re-inserting.

Let us know if you have any luck with this -- if not, we'll look into it further. Thanks!

I noticed today that one of my pages suddenly is not displaying large images correctly. They show up fine in the post editor, but occur distorted and darkened in the thumbnails I put in my post (linked above, starting about halfway down; click the image to see the full one and how different it is than what's displayed).

Anyone know a way to fix this?

Hello Timethief and others on the support team;

Images on my WordPress site, Whitt88, now are showing up distorted (pinched horizontally, stretched vertically). Double-clicking on the photo, or consulting the picture held in the library make the image show up properly. Could you please help by identifying what went wrong and providing a method to correct these errors?

I'm currently located on remote Pacific Island where satellite internet access is only occasional and limited to small villages - each mega of data counts. If you could provide an easy, quick solution to a distant, outdoor, non-programmer like myself, I would be most grateful. If not, I'll mark my WordPress site private and deal with it when I return to 'modernity.' I do regret that the effort I put into sharing on WordPress is currently going to waste.

Do have a Happy Equinox nevertheless, Whitt88

Thanks for the responses. I do not want to change it to color: #C1CDCD, I was simply using it as a random example. It doesn't matter whether I change the font size, color, background, etc -- I always get the same exact distorted result. I am almost certain the path I am taking is correct, which is why this is so frustrating. I have used the CSS editor on both a PC and a MAC and still get similar results. I am using Firefox, which I believe is recommended.

Hi,

I am new to using the CSS editor, and I am having a bit of trouble getting started. I have read several tutorials which suggest changing ONLY the lines of code which you want changed. With that said, I have been trying to make simple changes so I can get the feel for how this editing stuff works. The problem is that every time I make even a simple adjustment I get a distorted change in the page. No matter what change I make, the distortion is always the same. See example below; hopefully someone can help me correct the error of my ways. I'm sure this is a simple fix, your help is greatly appreciated in advance.

For example: Let's supposes I want to change the "body" color from #555555 to say #C1CDCD. Here is how I am attempting to do it.

Background info: I am using the "Enterprise" theme and the web address is http://macro1trader.wordpress.com/

Original Code:

body {
background: #F0F0F0;
color: #555555;
font-size: 12px;
font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana;
margin: 0 auto 20px;
padding: 0;
line-height: 20px;
}

My Changes:

body { color: #C1CDCD;}
