I made a slight change which may fix this but it can take up to 72 hours for it to take noticeable affect.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about "redirect errors". Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours has passed, please try clearing your browser's cache and cookies:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

If that doesn't work, try clearing your local DNS cache:

I recently transferred my domain to blogger... but apparently there are problems with the DNS records and/or nameservers..

Kardotim helped me with changing the nameservers before but I'm not sure if this resolved the problem.

I keep getting a message from Googlebot saying that they cannot access my site.

"Over the last 24 hours, Googlebot encountered 1 errors while attempting to retrieve DNS information for your site. The overall error rate for DNS queries for your site is 100.0%.
You can see more details about these errors in Webmaster Tools.
Recommended action
If the site error rate is 100%:
Use a WHOIS tool to verify that http://thelovelynest.com/ has a proper whois record and that nameservers are configured for the site. If not, contact your domain registrar to update your whois records.
Using a DNS lookup tool, verify that the nameserver's name can be resolved to an IP address. If not, either update your whois record to contain an IP address for your nameserver, or update the DNS records for nameserver.

Can you provide any information about how to do this? I had problems with my nameservers before...

Hmph... now is working sometimes and then Error 404 again. I'll then assume it's a time matter so the DNS controls update completely (haven't pass 24h since I change them).

A while ago I purchased a GoDaddy domain through Google Apps and used for my blog in another platform. Now that I migrated the info to my new perifernecentra.wordpress.com and I payed for the mapping, the trouble started.

I changed the name of the servers manually in GoDaddy and WordPress recognize them without problem. I also updated the email settings on the Custom DNS Records section. And then, the website started to show Error 404 Google page.

After I checked GoDaddy I figured was a Google thing, so I logged in the Google Apps and I noticed a section that said "Redirect the naked domain (http://perifernecentra.com) to http://www.perifernecentra.com" which by default was www.

I started to notice that if I entered without the www it will work so, I inserted manually a www CNAME in the Custom DNS Records section, directing google (later, I deleted it and nothing changed). I also tried to change the option in Webmasters Tool that let you work only with www or non-ww depending of your choice (this won't even let me set it, since asked me for verification, even if I had entered it with CNAME).

Now not even the naked domain works. The most irritating thing is that the individual posts work fine, but not the homepage that remains in an annoying Google Error 404 page.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Ok. So I fiddled around with the syntax of the CNAME and MX record and finally got a message after clicking "Validate Without Saving" and then clicking "Save DNS Records" of "New DNS Records Saved". Which I think is quite encouraging. :)

Now how do I know if this has worked? Just keep sending test emails for the next 72 hours and seeing when the email works?

Thanks!

Hello! This is the information I received from my email and web host site (hover.com), regarding the DNS records I require to properly set up my email.

CNAME Record: mail.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com
MX record: mx.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com

However when I try to update this information when I am adding an email address on the DNS records page, I keep getting errors.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks so much!
