hey guys now thing must be working like totally cool way... if anybody is still facing this problem lemme know...

actually this was what was happening....

After some experimenting I came out with the solution... I am not sure if this was a problem from Google or WordPress so I bettter share it here...

From google doc one receives this code which has to be pasted in edit post page

<iframe width='500' height='300' frameborder='0' src='https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AmUNJ79PATsXdDRMNmR1WGROWWxNekpMeS1wSmxteFE&output=html&widget=true'></iframe>

After publishing the post the code, this code is seen when you go to edit post:

[googleapps domain="spreadsheets" dir="pub" query="hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AmUNJ79PATsXdDRMNmR1WGROWWxNekpMeS1wSmxteFE&single=true&gid=0&output=html&widget=true" width="500" height="300" /]

But the above code dont work. Actually this code was the needed code:

[googleapps domain="spreadsheets" dir="spreadsheet/pub" query="hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AmUNJ79PATsXdDRMNmR1WGROWWxNekpMeS1wSmxteFE&single=true&gid=0&output=html&widget=true" width="500" height="300" /]

The difference is in the directory which should be spreadsheet/pub that just pub

Till now every-time I tried posting a spreadsheet dir coded was pub and thus speadsheet was not displayed in the blog

I just tried it a minute back and now dir is coded as pub/spreadsheet.

Since this is done by WordPress may be it was a bug which has been resolved by you all recently or may be it is still a fluctuating bug.

Further, I reported this observation to the support team..

Thank you all for posting in this section of formum...

Love you all...

Actually it did help me to get it to work. I still cannot get the Hosted provided option to work, but I did get the My own server/custom to work. I used the MovableType API and the URL of http://mblogname.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php with my blog credentials and it worked. When I tried this before, I used a different URL and it gave me a 403 error.

I still don't get why the 'native' blog feature doesn't work, but at least something does. Thanks for you help.

I would like to use Google Docs to edit and post to my WordPress.com blog but have so far been unsuccessful. I am trying to use the Publish feature within Google Docs and I believe I have my blog site settings correct but when I select Post to blog. I get "Working" for a few seconds and then "loading" for a fraction of a second. There is no indication of success or failure and no posting shows up in my blog. When I use the Test option within the Google Docs Blog Site Settings, I get the following error: (xmlrpc) unexpected response type. I've tried different text-only documents with the same results. As I understand it, WordPress.com allows XML RPC by default and I couldn't find any such settings in the dashboard.

My next step is to try the custom API feature.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we cannot embed iframes on this multiuser blogging platform. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=9594

I would like to recommend the other wordpress option. You can hire a web host very inexpensively and then download the free software from http://wordpress.org and achieve what you want to do.

WordPress.com or WordPress.org ? The difference.

I'm wanting to add a spreadsheet from Google Docs onto a page on my WP blog. Google docs supplies a link to the document that updates itself when changes are made. I'm wanting to embed the spreadsheet into a page and have it update on the blog when changes are made to the document. I want to keep the comment function in tact otherwise I would just supply the link to the doc. How can I do this?

the answer from support:

As explained here:

http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/23/gmail-mx/

Custom CNAME records are not currently supported.

While I do understand I am disappointed and will move to private hosting where I can do the same things and have control of my own dns.

Thanks
Al

Andrew, perhaps thinking too much.
