You need to buy a prepaid credit card from a country which IS approved and use that.

But on the buying page it seems the list of countries does not include Pakistan! :( further more I surely can't use the PayPal method since Paypal isn't available in Pakistan either.

Unless someone wishes to comment/debate this, I think this thread is resolved.

I hope that this makes sense. Our main reason for wanting the upgrade is so that our address is shorter, making it easier for fans to find us and so we display more info on our site as the layout isn't quite there yet.

Once verified, bring up the old blog URL's listing in Webmaster Tools and go to Configuration -> Change of Address. Select the new address from the drop-down menu and you're good to go.

I didn't make any changes on Google webmaster because I didn't think it is necessary.

I checked Google webmaster the other day, it seems to be working well.
However, there is no data on the tab "sites linking in".

It looks like the only thing I can do is adding danielberhane.com to Google webmaster, generate code and put in on my dashboard/tools.

However, my dashboard has only one space for Google verification code.
So, that means I will have to replace the previous verification code I put almost 3 years ago.

What do you advise me?

Domain helper shows that you have set correctly and the 72 hour propagation time has passed so you probably have a local computer caching issue of some sort -

If you have Firefox, you can do this by going to Tools - Options - Privacy - Exceptions.

If another browser, then someone else will hopefully help you.

Must I wait until Feb. 28th to renew our domain and purchase these additional upgrades to accomplish this?

The Custom Design and No Ads upgrades are one-year renewable subscriptions, valid from the date when you purchase them. So if you want to have the same renewal dates, then you will want to purchase the upgrades on Feb 28, 2013.

Do you have multiple upgrades on your site? If so, were you able to synchronize their renewal dates? Just wondering if we could renew our domain (renewal date Feb. 28th) and purchase more upgrades now and somehow synchronize their renewal dates? Maybe they could postpone activation of the new upgrades until Feb 28th??

I just went under 'users' and the option to transfer the domain came up. It was pretty easy - let me know if you don't get an email about it soon, I want to make sure it went though.

Unfortunately, on our upgrades page, it still indicates that the domain is owned by her (kokuacommunications). Not sure if it worked?

the upgrade is owned by the other user on the blog and they can transfer it to you, either via Store > My Upgrades using the transfer link, or by posting a request in this forum.

That owner has since advised that she transferred ownership to me.

Was it transferred directly to you? Or did they make a request on another thread? I don't see a post from the owner on this thread.

@jenia - any update on when we can renew for more that one year at at time James McManx said "soon" a year ago and so far nothing looks like it has been done - the option to renew for more than one year was available when I transferred my site onto WordPress.COM
