This is due to the custom font you are using in the navigation and the fact that the menus use a position: absolute declaration (none of which is due to anything you have done).

Add this to your custom CSS though, and it will fix the issue.

Hi WordPressers,
I am currently having a problem with the drop down menus of my blog.They display fine; however, when I move from the navigation bar to to click on the drop down the boxes disappear while going over some non-hyperlink boarder. Sometimes they work, but often they do not. I've been able to fix most things without going into the CSS. This might be a case where I need to change something via CSS. I am rather new to CSS so please explain to me like I am five.

The things I've tried include:

*:{
margin: 0;
margin-bottom:0px;
padding: 0;
}

Hello,

My blog http://www.frenchtouchmusic.net is down since yesterday. Apparently the problem happens only in the US or at least in California where I'm based. I asked some friends based in Europe to check and it works perfectly.

I tried to empty the caches of my web browser but the problem is still here.

The error message says that the server stopped responding.

Any idea?

I am using the 3.4.2 wordpress.

That means you're using WordPress.org, but this forum is for WordPress.com questions. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.

I checked http://injuryupdate.wordpress.com/ and there are no dropdown menus. If you are referring to a WordPress.com blog, please post a link to the blog you are working on. If you are using WordPress.org 3.4.2, then you should ask for help in the volunteer forums at http://wordpress.org/support/

I am using the 3.4.2 wordpress. My website isn't live yet but I have a question. When I hover over my drop down menu it changes to black. The rest of my bar is blue. I would like to change my drop down menu background to the same color. I have looked through code but I don't know where to look to change the drop down menu color. I am also using simple themes if that helps.

There's a wide-spread issue evidenced by the multiple active threads on the front page of this forum and far beyond reporting the same issue for the last 24 hours. All have been flagged for Staff attention and they have responded. is WordPress servers down?

I can see all my Posts and pages, but when it comes to me to try and Edit
my posts the page just keeps Loading for about 20mins! with a Blank page
still hmm..
Have tried several times to Reload Refresh my Page start my Pc over, but still
have this problem.
it started at 6pm today for me uk time anyone else experinceing the same problem??

When I hover over "design" then "architecture" the project under there won't display correctly. It cuts off the second word and puts the remaining letters underneath. It looks really bad. Does anyone know how to fix this?

IP addresses are not unique identifiers and have not been for over a decade now. ISPs like to save money by placing hundreds of us in the same IP block. The result of blackinlisting means hundreds of people in the same IP block who could be legitimate commenters will automatically send them to Moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog. Do note though that if they are determined, they can use a different email address or username to get around that. Also, all note all they would have to do is go to a wi-fi hot spot, or connect via a different ISP and they could get around that.

You have complete control comment moderation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation If your blog is public others can, of course, read it. They can submit comments but you can Moderate all comments and choose which ones to approve or not.

@kiwimana - I've looked into the issue on your site and it was caused by the pasting of nearly 200,000 IPs addresses into the Comment Blacklist in the Discussion Options for your site. This field is designed for you to enter a few bad phrases or IP Addresses and not 1000's

Your site is working again now but will break again if you put that long list of IP Addresses back into the setting - was there a specific issue you were trying to resolve by doing this?

When people visit my blog they get:-
