I am a beer loving, home brewing novice who lives in Edinburgh. I love good food and a lovely refreshing beverage to wash it down with. In July 2012 I decided to start blogging about my home brewing attempts which you can find here at Scran an’ Swally. For those not familiar with the phrase, it’s Scottish slang for Food and Drink.

Apart from me blogging about my home brewing efforts you will find my mundane musings about the food and drink that I come into contact with.

Hopefully with a bit of practice and some inspiration from the fine food and beer that Scotland and beyond has to offer, I will be able to brew something decent at home. Only time will tell. I hope you visit my blog and become part of the journey.

As I plunge my feet into the glorious, shimmering pool that is WordPress, I've finally (I think!) got the hang of creating galleries, so if you have a moment, please swing by my new gallery for nature photography. I can't believe December is here already (well, nearly - depending where in the world you are). As autumn draws to a close I'm almost ready to shut the hell up about it. I've taken my chances in blogging and hope to help stir up the Edinburgh Party Scene. Any tips on promoting the blog, getting followers....?

Relatively new to this blogging malarky and it could be amazing...if I new how to get other people involved! haha

PLEASE help. I feel like a damsel in distress which I liked at first, but now it's just getting frustrating!!

So, it's almost time for the Fringe Festival here in Edinburgh and the city is buzzzzzing for it - 2011 is going to be massive.

Who is coming here, or even performing? If you've never been, it's a must. The atmosphere is electric - you can literally turn to speak to almost anyone and you will get good chat and banter.

There's hundreds of free shows too - so, if you have to spend quite a bit for accommodation, you don't need to fork out much for the shows!!!

I'm ssooooo excited for it, I'm pee'ing my pants (not literally, but could be reality soon!).

Share you stories if you've been here, or if you are coming. I WANT TO KNOW!
