Thank you for your response. I dislike the options WordPress.com has for the credit section. It is not very user friendly, in fact it can be a deal breaker to me and to potential new customers.

Also, thanks for answering regarding the visibility question. I did that, but still seemed like it was viewing live(even when I logged out of wordpress)...

Im probably way over my head with trying to take this approach - but whatever...I like and want what I like and want...

Two quick thoughts:

At the bottom of any webpage, there is a bar that says something along the lines: "wordpress.com | Theme: so and so | Designer/Co.: so and so"....Can you delete this if you go completely custom(premium everything?)

Second, can I edit and design my website without the world seeing what I am doing...It seems like once you buy a premium template and you activate, its live!!! I dont want my site live until I am ready for it to launch?

Please advise...Thank you.

This is not a question about how to use WordPress.com. These forums are here to help with technical issues related to this blogging platform.

You need to find a circle of editors among your friends online or in your daily life.

As for making contacts online, aside from twitter, tumbler, facebook, and all, there is the Reader on WordPress.com where you can read blogs you follow to find and keep in touch with folks who have similar interests:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/

Once you find potential candidates, you could invite them (and they you) to add to your blog:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
Or there is this other option:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-helper/request-feedback/
(which is probably more what you are asking about)

Thanks for the confirmation that everything is working as is macmanx. I thought maybe there was a freshness time limit between the time a post is published and edited if it fired as a new RSS event or not. I often find typos on new articles, and I fix them quickly, and no RSS event is ticked. However, if I find a typo on an old article -- say two-six years old -- then an RSS update always fires.

As for the Trash -- Good point! SMILE! After posting my query, I also thought I could edit the Trashed post before un-Trashing to turn off the auto-Publicize to avoid notices on restored Trashed articles being fed as new, though I'm not sure if we can edit Trashed articles.

Why, if you edit an older article -- to say, fix a typo -- and update the article, does the article get sent to the RSS feed as a new article? Is there any way to prevent that from happening?

Not exactly. We mark it as "updated" in the feed, and it's entirely up to the feed reader to choose how to handle that. Some, like Google Reader, do nothing and the post remains "read" and folks aren't notified of an update. Others do display it as updated, and some display it as new.

Why, if you Trash a post and then restore it, does that article get re-sent to all your linked "Publicize" social networks as a new article? Is there any way to prevent that from happening?

When you Trash an article, you remove all elements of its existence except the content. When you restore it, it's considered a new post, which is why Publicize re-sends it. Just don't Trash any posts you want to keep. ;)

To make those changes on Albeo, you'd need the Custom Design upgrade. You can't use themes from anywhere but WordPress.com on a WP.com blog. If you buy a premium theme, I believe you only get that theme as is.

If you really want to tinker with themes, what you want is a WordPress.ORG blog instead.

These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

Note: In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments and links cannot be done without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing. A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/color-customisable-themes/
