I am slowly getting the hang of this, through the upload window/gallery. I have succeeded in attaching a gallery to one of my draft posts. As I have a lot of images each post, I want the thumbnails to be small; so I have reduced them to 70cm in the media menu.
Question: can I have the thumbnails in rows, close together, rather than in three columns? - which takes up a lot of space.
Also, any tips on editing them - as they are timelined. Do I just click Show, if there are duplicates in one post, or if it contains images from other posts?

Dear wp community, I want to attach a thumbnail gallery carousel to my posts, of the images in each one. Does the "Manifest" wp theme support it? I went into Support - including the link which "Timethief" suggested, and tried every way to access my gallery and display it, but I seem to miss a vital link. When I upload a new image, and click on Save All at the bottom left hand corner, the gallery does not appear. In Settings/Media/Image Carousel, the right buttons (seem to be) highlighted, but again nothing happens after I Save.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW THE SHORTCODE button above the visual editor works? I tried typing [gallery] in it - again, no result.
I have published just a couple of trial posts on this blog, and drafted a lot more, and would much appreciate your help. With thanks to all - Jane
