She will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If she does not have a username account she will be taken to the log-in screen, where she can either create a new user account.

Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

• The person is logged in to google, and
• gmail is not blocked (at many work sites webmail is blocked from staff PCs)

This means that the link will never work for most people.

Replace https://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&tf=1&to=%5Bemail redacted] with mailto:[email redacted] and it will work

Situation: When I go to say the Committee Page of our website (www.blpn.org) under Contacts and click on a link - say "Paul" - then a new page opens entitled "untitled" and nothing happens. In the past a new page would be opened and my email editor would appear with the link's email address typed in.

Since the link works fine on my wife's computer, it would suggest that a setting on my computer has been de-activated so that the email editor does not appear. Do you have any ideas how I can rectify this?

I've just used the desktop version of the editor to fix problems. This happened with other posts before, too, but those had not many lines of code and I fixed it without getting that much upset :)

I have recently stumbled upon a very unfortunate misbehavior of the iOS app. When updating the post, it automatically replaces special HTML characters inside the sourcecode snippets. For example, «<» becomes «<» etc. Then the blog post displays that for a user, making it impossible to read the code. This surely is a big problem for at least C and C++ programmers (because those languages are full of quotes and “<>” symbols) posting a lot of code snippets (like me). It would be nice if somebody could fix this.

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ then you will not be able to recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash

Fortunately, there is a work around for this, but a fix would be nice.

Can you try a few things?

Try logging out of WordPress.com, clear your browser cache, and then log back in and re-test the CSS editor.

Try an alternate browser. If it works, then the issue is with the browser settings.

Try an alternate computer if you have one in the same location. If another computer works, then the issue is computer settings on the first one.

Try an alternate location. If it works, the issue is with your local network.

If you can't seem to isolate where the problem happens for you, could you provide a few more details about what's going wrong? Is the editor box on the Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page in your blog missing, unresponsive, or are you able to type into the editor but saving doesn't keep the edits? If the last thing is what's happening, can you post the exact CSS your trying to add?
