Ok, I just purchased the Site Redirect and it's redirecting my blog to my domain name. When I type in women180.wordpress.com it goes to women180.com....but it doesn't take any of the content with it?

And when I type in women180.com, it doesn't bring any of the wordpress content in. Did I purchase the wrong thing?

Is this the only form of support that wordpress offers?

I have a blog on WordPress.com and I have a domain name with GoDaddy. I'm trying to get the blog to appear on the domain name, without 'wordpress' in the URL.

I believe I need to redirect the wordpress blog to that domain name. Before I pay for this, I want to make sure it's the right thing. ---- Site Redirect $13/blog per year.

Also when talking to GoDaddy, they mentioned that I would need either a specific IP address of separate Name Server so that I can point the blog to the GoDaddy domain name. Will I get this when I purchase the Site Redirect?

Any help is appreciated! The more dumbed down talk the better :)

What was the blog that you're referring to?

If the file on Google Docs was deleted, then what you have now is a link that goes nowhere. As long as you have deleted the file from Google Docs, you really have nothing to worry about.

Also staff are unlikely to reactivate this without a lot of evidence and probably a high cost. If word gets out that you can get a previously used blog name by just claiming that someone's life is in danger then there are a lot of people who would make that claim!

Keep in mind also that Google is only one of many many search engines - yesterday my site had 6 different search engines refer traffic to my site and then there were 8 different variations of Google.

I know this may not be believable but I have an EMERGENCY situation that a person's life may be in danger if I do not. There was a link to a document that had been uploaded to Google docs that contained extremely sensitive material in it that somehow is still showing up on the internet although the site was deleted. I've been told its somehow in a server's cache. Google says that in order for the page to be deleted I must be able to prove the blog is mine. The Google document also was deleted in the gmail account yet out there in the www it does!

There's the BIG PROBLEM ... the blog supposedly does not exist! Yet the link to the document says it does!

Please someone help! Surely there must be a way to at least temporarily recreate this blog with the same url. Contact me privately through the following email ... [email redacted] I don't even care if spam crawlers barrage this ... it is that important. Please!

If you have already contacted Staff by using the “click here to contact us” link in the notice, the ToS department definitely received your request, as that link works at all times (even when the regular contact form is closed). I have reported though dashboard. Seems like I can do nothing but waiting. Thank you for both kindly reply.Hope WordPress team can deal with my problem asap.

Email is the last priority for staff; contacts made from that dashboard button are FIRST priority, so that's why you have to use it.

You need to log into the dashboard and then use the link in the message there in the dashboard to contact the Terms of Service department. If you have done that, then you will just have to wait until they get back to you, but they will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am a student and open the blog to finish my coursework. Somehow I find it's close from yesterday. My tutor is on the way to mark scores. I really need help to open my blog by support team. I have wrote email and submit the problems. But have not received any reply. The website is not for commercial use. I hope I can at least know what's wrong with it and I can refine it. It's just unreasonable to close a private blog without any notification. Hope any one here can help me. :<

Looks like nothing related to WordPress.COM (good)

There can be problems with local caching issues also, that just take time to resolve.

I don't know what you are seeing, but I've tried it on multiple browsers since you replied and when I go to http://www.originspreschool.org it goes right to originspreschool.wordpress.com

I'll try to breathe and wait till morning. ;)

originspreschool.org does not go to a WordPress.COM site - so did you get the changes to work? - keep in mind that it can take 24 to 72 hours for a Domain Name change, edit the name servers etc for the changes to make it to the far corners of the internet.

I started a blog (originspreschool.wordpress.com) before I bought my domain name originspreschool.org. A few days later I purchased the domain and paid to have wordpress be the host. I soon found that it was not going to work for my needs. I used iWeb to create my entire site and then purchased hosting through iPage. I connected my ftp to my new iPage account and as I was about to upload it I remembered that I would have to turn off the domain that was pointing to wordpress. I deleted (I thought) the wordpress domain but what it did was make the originspreschool.wordpress.com the official site that now my actual url is directing to.

I don't know if any of that made sense but I am literally in tears right now.. How can I fix this? I need my domain back!!!
