I'm still having issues with this. I went into my wordpress and hit delete on the 'tumblr feed' category I created. This moved all the 5000 posts into my general feed.

This is the expected behavior, deleting a category deletes the category label, but not the posts in the category. I'm sorry there is not a way to undo deleting the category.

I have now done as you said before and selected to view 999 posts per page. Clicked on every post and when I went to bulk action it to trash it says there was an error. I have done this on more than one computer system and an iMac. Yet the error still appears and I still have every post that I wanted to get rid of. Anything that is not in the music category I don't need.

Sorry about this. I'm going to look into why you are getting the error. Just to be sure, could you please confirm that you'd like to delete all posts that are not labeled with "Music" category, and that you understand that this action cannot be reversed?

To do this, go to your posts and filter on the "Tumblr Feed" category. You will see this: https://jparkbass.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?category_name=tumblr-feed

Then, click on "Screen Options" in the top right corner to expand it and change the number of posts to something high, e.g. 600, so that you'll have less pages to work with. Apply changes.

Then, select "Move to Trash" from "Bulk Actions" and repeat it several times to delete all the posts from the "Tumblr Feed". After that, you might want to empty Trash, as well.

I only meant to it to import once. Now it is there twice and I have 5000+ posts. Could you delete the duplicates? If not just empty it and I'll sort it out from there.

Alternatively, we can empty the whole blog for you, but that will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files.
Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.
