The only problem is, for it to really work and be interesting you're going to have to meet a lot of different people with very diverse backgrounds and outlooks. Which realistically could be tricky to implement. The thought alone is great though

I've been blogging now for a little over a month and, inspired by Project 365, I began a project of my own: Project 2012. Each week I try to go out of my way to meet new people and hear their stories and their perspectives on life, and then blog about it. I strongly believe that the more people share their ideas and reflect on others, the better we can understand one another and the closer together humanity can grow. At the very least I hope my blog can adequately share my perspective.

I'm not a great writer, but I started my blog based on my inspiration. I have been promoting via twitter and facebook and have received lots of interest. I am putting this before you, my blogging mates, since you are the ones with the need to express yourselves and are quite open peeps.

My blog is not only a blog but a 'pray on a rosary and pass it on initiative' that I am doing to send blessings around the world. I'm not super religious, but this is rooted in Catholic beliefs. I represent spiritually and faith in God over religious rules and standards. Enough about my philosophy.. I would love for anyone who feels inspired to join. Please see my blog. The very first entry has the details. I have a short waiting list right now as the ten rosary beads are out making their visits :)

Plugging my own blog but as a good indication, this is how I faired from October - December. I believe blogging about a subject that is most meaningful to you will bring in like-minded readers, that's my little tip.

It's important to understand that
1. Build it and they will come is not true - there is no such thing as passive blog promotion. Blogging is a both competitive and cooperative. Unless you get out there and comment on other blogs and form relationships with other bloggers your blog will not garner significant traffic.

2. At the end of the day, if you do not use social media like Twitter and social networks like Facebook to promote your blog posts and blog, then you will find building a growing readership is more difficult as the audience you reach will be limited. Social networking tremendously expands the audience you can connect with.

3. The number of comments received for every page view is around 750 page views gives rise to 1 or 2 comments.

The best place to post a blog description on your blog is on your About page, as it is meant to contain a brief biography (profile) and a blog description, including your blogging goal(s) and tags for the blog.
