Hi, my website has several fixed pages and the index shows one of them. Now I'd like to publish posts, as in a blog, but I don't want these entries to show up in the index of the website. I just want people to access the blog through the costum menu, but... what's the URL of the blog index? I can see how to add single entries to a menu, but not the general index of entries. How can I do that? Thank you much.

Yes you can manually post to Facebook. Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls . RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

I'm really struggling with loading blogs onto facebook - sometimes the facebook box doesn't come up when I upload blog and the share button takes me to my facebook admin page, I have emailed word press but no reply, is there anyway to manually up,load blog entry to facebook?

Hey, this just happened to me twice in the last 20 minutes. The text of my post was completely erased after I had saved the draft. The title / tags / everything else remains as is, but the actual blog entry is completely gone. I thought it was my fault the first time, but since it happened twice, on the same post, I'm curious as to why that would happen.

a) Plugins are for self-hosted blogs - wp.com blogs don't support plugins. What exactly are you looking for? There might be other ways of doing it.

Hi all, I'm sure there's an answer staring me in the face, but I can not find plugins on my admin page. The last listing on Dashboard (which I believe is the same as the admin panel?) is Settings, not plugins. Can someone help me find this?

Second, I'm trying to shorten my blog entries (read more, etc) Do I need a plug-in for that, or can I use a widget? Is there a general HTML bit of code I can add to each post for this? I don't know code but I'm great at cutting & pasting. :-) I appreciate any help!

I have opened this blog account this morning and I have posted one entry and checked the "view" and my actual blog address but it just says there is no blog entry to show and I have made a few categories but they don't show on my blog either. What should I do? Is it just taking time to update or did I fail to do something correctly??

Forgot your last question about the size of the links (I expect you meant the font-size).

when you make a post, at the bottom of it says something like this:

"posted in category "x", "y" and tagges "1", "2". Post a comment. Trackback"

What if I only wanted to displays the category/tag links? and remove the regular text.

And how do I change the size of these links?

I am new too and also have a query. I've paid for a facebook banner campaign to run for a Month. The company is called Worldwide Media and the campaign is not expensive. According to WW I have had 84 clicks on my banner since Friday 21st October. However, when i look at "views" of my blog on "site stats". None of those views are registered. Am I doing something wrong?

So, I'm experiencing a small technical issue with the CSS for my blog, cruithear.com. The most recent post is outlined by a 1px black border, and the tags/comment content at the bottom of the post has an off-white background color to differentiate it from the body of the post. However, subsequent posts do not have this outline or the background color for the tags/comment section -- and I'd like them to. I've been trying to tweak the CSS for these sections to no avail.

Here is the CSS for these sections:

body#home .entry-1,.sticky {
background:#ffffff;
border:1px solid;
font-size:1em;
}

body#home .entry-1 .entrymeta,.sticky .entrymeta {
background:#fafbfa;
border-top:1px solid #d8d9c8;

It'd be great if I could keep this outline/coloration style for every post for the sake of continuity. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

that domain was amrita-rao.in. It was in myblogs section before 5 min. No, when I posted this question, it is removed.
But I have 6 other such domains. Will contact support now..

I can contact support, but what about the plugin issue? why plugin adds my self hosted blogs to wordpress.com accounts? They are not hosted with wordpress.com.. I was just using the plugin and the API.
