I have chosen my main page to be the showcase template. I can only guess that I need Ephemera to start anything, that I also need to state the status of posts to appear in the showcase, but controlling fetured images and the look of the showcase lacks in tutorials that are clear enough.
Another thing that irritates me is no sidebar with individual posts, and at least an opotion for such on the main page. Of course I understand that much is possible but as for now I dread touching code modifications and extensive working with HTML, PHP or CSS, maybe in the future...
One question aside: I think it's wiser to insert photos to my blog repository already made 'lighter', downsized than cropping or 'thumbnailing' them while inside WP - what do you think ?

I'm trying to adjust the coloring of the ephemera widget. I don't want the links for the post titles to look like all my other links. Right now I'm thinking I want them to look like my post titles (under "recent posts") including when hovering. Nonetheless, I can figure out the colors later, I just can't figure out what properties I need to include in order to edit the blog titles and also comment title under the ephemera widget.

I've tried variations of what is included in the stylesheet:
section.ephemera .entry-title .comments-link a:hover,<br /> .widget_twentyeleven_ephemera .entry-title .comments-link a:hover {<br />

and

.widget_twentyeleven_ephemera .widget-entry-title {

As you can see, I've adjusted the font size using the latter property posted above so I'm very confused as to why I can't change the color. I've also tried using "!important".

I've check the Footer Area and I have no widgets working at all. Is the recent post widget permanent? I can't seem to get rid of this footer...

Also if possible, I would prefer only using the Twenty Eleven Ephemera widget because I can change the title.

I'm building my blog and would like to remove or change the "Ephemera" and "Recent Posts" titles or what ever you want to call it from the footer of the page where my posts are being shown. I would also like the option of having nothing at the footer of the page and only display the information posted on my pages.

I am using the Twenty Eleven theme and also using the Showcase template.

Hopefully I described it alright. Any information would be a great help.
