Earlier today I had two notifications to install updates.

You never ever get that type of notice for a free hosted WordPress.COM blog because Staff do all updates. That's a reference to a WordPress>ORG install.

We launched our new website on wordpress.com and have completed the domain mapping etc. but today I noticed that search engines still have some of the old pages from our previous website indexed under their searches. Obviously when someone clicks on this, they get a "404 error" message. Is there any way to redirect them to the homepage of our site or somehow get these saved pages off the search engines?

Any help would be appreciated.. I am not that "techy"
