Hi again,
I plan displaying a lot of statistical data, graphs, arrows and explanatory text. Since I do a lot of PPT's I have been used to modify any graphic content so as to be more pedagogical.
In WP, do I have to convert all my graphics in PS and then add it to WP or is there an easier way to import spreadsheets, graphs etc.

I really need a spreadsheet-like plugin for my site. I will use this to input expense and audit them online, so that my co-workers can access them. I have tried using google docs but don't like it.

Hi JKudish,
thanks for your prompt reply. I've tested it again many times.
While yesterday I was ready to say : "sorry it does not work" (page was blank without any Excel), today, before wasting your time, I tested it again and it works !
Don't ask me why. I suspect there was either a latency retriving the Excel web app or Microsoft webapp server to slow in response time. Waiting for few more seconds and it appears !

I've tried embedding just a cell range and it has worked fine for me. Can you please copy/paste the embed code that you are trying to paste into WordPress.com so that we can further troubleshoot. You can use http://pastebin.com/ to paste the snippet of code and then share the link here.

I works only if you embed a sheet without selecting a cell range and/or without selecting a specific cell to start.

The instructions on how to do the embeds has been slightly modified, so I've updated the Excel, and PowerPoint instructions and added instructions for Word .

Both the old links/format and the new format will continue to work, though I suspect that Microsoft has already started deprecating the old format on their end

As per my understanding problem is due to new office web apps.
I found this workaround :
Go to SkyDrive Option and there you need to find Office Beta Option
Select "No Thanks" option, meaning that you don't want use new office web apps.
After this ,the code is generated when you embed Excel, is the same you had in the past.

I was having an operational xl application at null.
since I needed to modify it, I generated new code at skydrive.But when tried to embed the same at wordpress.com , Iwas horrified to find that the existing xl calculator could not be embedded by wordpress.com leaving my users in lurch.
I also find that the new code from skydrive was starting with src="http://skydrive.live.com/embed? ......." instead of the earlier code starting with

http://r.office.microsoft.com/...' I feel that only on account of this I am unable to embed my calculator and other applications also that I intend to use in wordpress.com.
Having searched the whole of internet I did neither find an alternative nor a solution to my problem.
What I am supposed to do in the circumstances other than leaving wordpress.com.?

I am just bumping in hopes of getting some response to this issue.

Embedding Excel spreadsheets into our blog is a big part of what we publish, and I have been unable to post any updates for going on 2 weeks. We have tried working with Google Docs and it just does not serve our needs.

Apparently from the research I have done this is affecting many WordPress/MS Office Web Apps Users, so I would hope that we could at least get a status update. I want to reiterate, that I have no idea if this is a WordPress problem or a Microsoft problem but I have to believe that one of the two companies needs to address this. As users it is very frustrating to not know if, when, or by who this will be corrected.

If anyone as any information on where things stand with this reported issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to link up my "Subscribe" function on my external site to automatically add people directly to my list on WordPress. I am trying to create a one-stop shop for people to subscribe to my blog via email without having to visit the WordPress Site after filling out their information.

Is there a way to do this?

Also is there is a way to do offline importing of subscribers?
