How can I do that when I can't even get into my original wordpress website and blog?
Facts: Domain name renewed. Host server not found. I want to upgrade to wordpress.org so that I can get rid of the previous hosting service. I am not a computer technician. I looked at the forum that says "existing domain name" but can't make heads or tails of it. I even asked several other techies I know and they are also confused. Help?

It will take about 24 hours or so for that change to take effect, and possibly a little longer. During that time, you should be able to install and configure the wordpress software on your account there using a temporary IP address they can give you.

During that time, you can also export your content from here and import it into your new wordpress installation.

I would like to move my blog to self-hosting through godaddy using my existing domain name so I can use my domain name AND add advertising options. Can anyone tell me the best way to accomplish this? I don't just want to point my domain name to my existing blog, I actually want to change to a .org blog or whatever is necessary to be able to add content for profit.
