Unfortunately, we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. The Avatar for Benjamins Gate is showing up incorrectly on our facebook group site and our facebook community site.

Here is a link to the group site. For today's (5/25 -- morning post) you can see that only a portion of text is showing rather than the Gate itself. Thank you for help.

1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/

2. Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

The last two posts I've made have not automatically been sent to my Facebook page. Each time I've gone through the steps of deleting and adding to publicize. I get a message saying that I'm connected to Facebook but still nothing. I have had to manually post to Facebook from each entry. Never had a problem with this before. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

So every time I posted on wordpress it always 'publicised' it on both Twitter and Facebook. However, recently, it only shares it on Twitter but I haven't changed anything?

How do I get it to share on Facebook automatically again ?

This is something on Facebook's end. You can report it as a false-positive from within the error message they provide.

Hola a todos!
Me he leído unos cuantos temas ya y no he encontrado como poner al final de una entrada el botón compartir y el de me gusta de Facebook a la vez.
Si en compartir meto la opción Facebook con Icono+texto el botón que aparece es el de Compartir.
Si en lugar de eso pongo la opción Botones oficiales sale para hacer Me gusta.
¿Se pueden poner los dos a la vez?, ¿o estoy pidiendo mucho? :D

Hi, I'm having same problem too. I checked my sharing settings and it seems like connected to my facebook account. It works on twitter and linkedin but doesn't work on facebook. I think problem is about facebook app.

I went to https://apps.facebook.com/wordpressdotcom/ and there was a button that says start sharing now, when i clicked it got me right back to sharing settings page of my wordpress panel.

Any ideas why?

I usually schedule all my posts: one every morning. The posts are shared on my personal twitter account and on the blog's facebook page. Yesterday, as usually, the post went on air but the link wasn't shared. I disconnected all my sharing accounts, took the post off, connected again, published it again and nothing happened. so I posted the link by myself. Today the same thing happened again: nothing shared. I don't know whats is happening, because evertything always went so easy. Please, help me.

I publish my blog on Facebook, and even though I have asked people to leave comments on the blog, they comment on facebook. I am sure that I had it working once that it would sync the comments that were left on facebook with the blog using a plugin. There are various plugins that say they will do this but I cannot get them to work.
In short, what I want is if someone leaves a comment on Facebook, it puts it as a comment on my blog too. I could also do with it doing that historically too.

Yes you can disconnect the app.

If you wish to you can use RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.

NOTE: The likes stats for Facebook shares and the Tweet stats apply to the original blog URL. They are gone.

As you charged the URL of the blog you need to disconnect the app and reconnect using the new URL if you want to use Publicize.

Yes I did change the URL. By removing the app do you mean removing the connection to Facebook then re-establishing it? Or is there a way to disable Publicize totally?

By changing the name of the blog do you mean that you chnage tghe URL starting with http:// by doing this? http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
If that's the case then you need to remove the app and reconnect it to the correct URL.

I do use publicize but I didn't disconnect the app. It happened after I changed the name of the blog, but besides that I didn't do anything.
