Hello WordPress community,

I am having a lot of difficulty trying to find a way to import Facebook comments (from a Fan page) and create a feed on my sidebar of my blog. Something similar to a social media activity feed but just for comments made from Facebook posts.

I found some plugins like Facebook CommentsTNG but it currently does not work due to Facebook changing their overall site. I need something recent.

Any kind of information around this topic will help a great deal!

Thanks.

No, the Custom Design upgrade just allows you to change the CSS and use online fonts from typekit to stylize your site here. It does not give you the ability to upload or us plugins, upload themes or use any restricted code such as flash or javascript.

If you want to use plugins, then you would have to self-host your own site on a third-party hosting service such as bluehost, dreamhost, etc.

Hi, I am using the Bueno theme for a blog and I need to sync comments across Facebook and on the Comments Box on my site regardless of where the comment was made, as described here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/

But I am using the free version of Bueno, and I can´t install this plugin. And I am using WP as a server, so I can´t edit its CSS.

If I purchase the Custom Design option, will I be able to add this feature?

Thanks!

This is for my wordpress.org site, dariankovach.com. I don't know anything about PHP. I installed the plugin, and the area where they leave comments was ridiculously tiny, so I tried fixing that. I found a youtube video that seemed to explain exactly what I needed to do to get it to look at what I did.

i added two lines of code from the video (making sure to put in the proper APP ID) and, long story short, instead of fixing the comments section I had, it added a SECOND facebook comments section over the one I wanted to correct, leaving me with two different facebook comment sections.

I just need to remove the smaller one, can anyone give me a hand? Also, should it be set to automatically post to THEIR facebook wall, or do I want the comments to post on my page? I know its a preference thing, but I was just curious as to what the social norm is on the matter. :)

By the way, commenters hate that. They have privacy protections that this gets around. In my opinion, it's unethical to redirect comments made on one site to another site.

You can do it automatically on WordPress.org sites with a plugin, but doing it means I among many others will never comment on either your site or your FB page again.

I will be sharing links to our blog on our Facebook Fan Page and know from past experience that some folks will post directly to our fan page rather than our WP page. I have seen other blogs where the FB comments appear on the blog entry as well as the comments made directly at the blog site. Is this something I can do with WordPress? If so, can someone direct me to a "how-to"? Thanks!
