Hi,

Trying to remove the featured post title on the Structure theme as it's too big and just sort of dominates the page, in my view.

Anyone got any idea how to remove it/render it invisible?

Be aware that your theme is a premium theme and p[art of what you paid for is support directly form the theme designer in the premium support forums. We Volunteers here on the technical support forums do not have access to premium themes and cannot work with them in test blogs.

Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. The premium theme forums are at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/ with separate sections for each theme. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/on-demand

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

I want to change the order of my scrolling featured posts on my front page (not just by date. I want to be able to change it according to each individual post). Is there a way to do this?

I read in their (mystique developers?) homepage that you can do a featured post slider, but I can't find it anywhere in the theme settings. Is it available for WP.com? Or just WP.org?

Featured (“Sticky”) Post
One featured post will show up in the header if the post is set as sticky, has a featured image attached, and the featured image is at least 940 pixels wide. If you have more than one post that meets these criteria the most recent post will be displayed.

The featured post area will show in the header of every site page unless you expressly turn it off in Appearance → Theme Options; in that case it will only be displayed on the home page.

To remove that section you need the Custom Design upgrade.

Hi all,

I have just transferred my blogger over to wordpress. Hooray. Has been great so far.

I have started using the 'Structure' theme, and there is a large panel at the top for a featured post. However, I would rather this not be there at all, and instead just show the three columns. I have been googling and searching these forums, but haven't been able to find answers.

Note: none of my posts are sticky'd. And I have it set to show the latest post. But I want to remove that panel across the top, below the menus from the design altogether.

Thanks for your response! I tried the suggested CSS, but it's not doing quite what I want. It will add the text after the date, but the date still displays. If I use the CSS that removed the date, nothing displays. Here's what I have to remove the date:

.featured-post footer {
display: none;
}

I've fiddled with it, but can't get it to display the text instead of the date. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?

You can add text to the end of a link using CSS. Here is an example of adding text to the date line of featured posts in the Oxygen theme's featured post slider:

Hello. I'd like to insert the text "Click here for more info" in the post date footer in featured posts using the Oxygen theme. Right now the footer is hidden, but if I can use it as text, I'd like to.

No the post slider on Twenty Eleven will not auto-advance. Yes you readers have to click the dots to advance it. Most post sliders on themes here do not auto-advance. These four themes have a slider that automatically advances and the last one is a free theme that has a slideshow feature on the front page (Debut, Currents, On Demand, Modularity Lite).

When it comes to featured images the dimensions are critical.
Featured Post Slider
The theme has a dynamic featured post area (shown just below the site title on the home page) which is a snap to use: just add big featured images—at least 950 pixels in width and 270 pixels in height—to your Sticky Posts and you are good to go.

Hi there, I have just set up Triton on my WordPress site. You can see it here: http://www.etan.info.
However, I only seem able to have one post featured at the top. I have made three 'sticky' but still only one shows up. Do you know why?
Also, is there a way of changing the colour of the headline text on the featured post? As you can see on my site, the white text cannot be read when it is on top of a picture with a white background.

Now i changed to Skylark Theme which has the post slider in it. Created two posts and added featured image to both and categorized them as featured and set the Primary Featured Category as featured. saved everything and the post slider doesn't show up on main page
