Found a small glitch in the infinte footer on my Truly-Minimal blog. When not logged in, the blog shows a "Follow" button in the bottom-right corner.

Unfortunately the button covers the theme link in the infinite footer. When I try to click on it, nothing happens. Even the mouse cursor doesn't change to a "hand". This happens in Firefox 21.0 as well as the newest Chrome.

→ infinite_footer.png

Might be because of my old 17'' 4:3 monitor, but wanted to mention it anyway. ;)

Thank you so much!! Your notes for 1 and 2 worked great.

3. It is still present on some of the posts, but not all. On my website site, if you hover over the third image for "caivano residence," you see a small strip of the gray background color (upper right corner). It appears as a small strip because the date isn't there anymore. For example, when the date was there, the strip length would stretch to fit the length of the text for the date. Is there a way to remove that strip of gray on the homepage and category archives?

4. I see what you mean. Is there a way to lessen the word count of what is visibly in the summary? However, the problem of the spacing will still occur right?

5. I'll verify with staff on this coding before hand.

1. This will center the menu, but do note that if your menu grows and goes to two lines, the centering will fail and it will default back to left alignment (or may go flakey).

.menu-photography-container {
    text-align: center;
}

.menu {
    display: inline-block;
}

2. Try this:

.lay1 > div .block-comm .comments {
    display: none;
}

3. You seem to have gotten this one figured out.

4. This will get rid of the text, but there is an issue. The vertical dimension for each post on the main page is based on the image + title + excerpt and is determined in the PHP script files, so there isn't any way to tighten up and recover that white space.

.lay1 > div p {
display: none;
}

5. This is all the CSS for the follow button, but I would be very careful with this. Staff are sort of touchy on restyling of these sorts of elements in the site page because everyone that comes to a WordPress.com blog is expecting the follow button to be in the same place and of the same colors as they are used to seeing. I would verify redesign of this is ok before proceeding.

#bit a.bsub {
    background-color: #464646;
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center bottom , #3F3F3F, #464646 5px);
    border: 0 none;
    box-shadow: 0 -1px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);
    color: #CCCCCC;
    display: block;
    float: right;
    font: 13px/28px "Helvetica Neue",sans-serif;
    letter-spacing: normal;
    outline-style: none;
    outline-width: 0;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 0 10px 0 8px;
    text-decoration: none !important;

I've purchased the Custom CSS bundle and am using the Triton Theme for my website http://www.sarajanerin.com. So far so good with what I've done on my own, however I need some help with a few things:

1. Centering top Navigation Bar
2. Removing Comment Count (on home and category archives) when you hover over post images.
- I've tried multiple codes from other forums, but haven't succeeded.
3. Remove Gray Background Behind Date (on home and category archives)
- I've removed the post date however, the gray background where the date used to be, still appears when you hover over post images.
4. Remove Post Summary
- I've been reading on how to do so with PHP coding, but I don't know where that option is, if there even is an option. Is there a way with CSS? If not can I at least shorten the length of the summary?
5. Styling the "Follow Button" to match color palette of site?

I don't have anything about "Email" in my Reading section. I have the following:
-Front page displays
-Blog pages show at most
-Syndication feeds show the most recent
-For each article in a feed, show
-Search Engine Visibility

None of the above looks like it would help me eliminate the follow button. I'm using wordpress 3.5
Please help?

I noticed you mentioned Blogum, but the site linked in your help request is using The Columnist. It helps very much to look at a specific example, and I found an example here:
http://hovercraftdoggy.com/2013/01/09/yummie/

Here is how you can target the "Follow us" button on posts in The Columnist Theme in your blog:

#subscribe-blog input[type="submit"] {
	background: red;
}

Then you can add CSS rules into that block as needed.

If you're looking to customize that same button for Blogum instead, the same CSS will probably work because I used "#subscribe-blog" which is specific to the form and not actually dependent on the theme's structure. However, if you run into trouble targeting the button on Blogum, just post an example link and details about what you've tried already.

Timetheif,
Yes, my plan B was to just use an image and link it to my Twitter account, however there is more functionality to the Follow buttons provided by Twitter and translated into WP sourcecode on this page. Namely, those don't just open a new page to your Twitter account, it actually signs the clicker up as a follower automatically and opens a neat little pop-up rather than directing away from your blog.

All of that is just nice and not necessary, so I can just use a regular old image. I still think it would be very cool of WP to include the large format button. They have all the other variations of the official Twitter button (like whether or not you want your username or follower count displayed), so I'm not sure why the size choice was omitted.
