Here are brief instructions for unsubscribing from a blog if the person has a WordPress.com username account:

1. click the "unsubscribe" link on the emails of the posts received at the very bottom of the emails.
2. go here > http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/ locate and click the "x" next to any blog there to unfollow it and no longer receive posts in the Reader or by email.
3. go to the blog in question and click the unfollow/follow link on your Admin bar.

If they do not have a WordPress.com username account then 1. applies.
1. click the "unsubscribe" link on the emails of the posts received at the very bottom of the emails.

Just curious, today I got notification. Notifications, exactly. 8 or 9 likes on my post from different user. And some of them are following me too. But when I see stats, today's view only 1 or 2 or 3. 1 2 or 3 view, but in the same day I got more than 5 likes. How could it be? Are my visitor a ghost?

She entered her email address and invited herself while I was signed in as admin, but she neglected to change the default setting to Author. This is a mistake I too have made in the past.

There should not be a Follower option in Invite Users, let alone as default, if it is not going to show up in All Users, where the role can be changed.

I temporarily un-clicked via the "[blog address here].wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php" webpage; so "a follow button to logged out users" won't show up "in the bottom corner of their screen."

Note that you have complete control comment moderation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation If your blog is public others can, of course, read it. They can submit comments but you can Moderate all comments and choose which ones to approve or not.

For trolls, you can “blacklist” them at Settings > Discussion toward the bottom of that page. Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog. Do note though that if they are determined, they can use a different email address or username to get around that. Also, do not put their IP address in the blacklist. IP addresses are no longer unique, and you might end up blocking legitimate visitors. Also, all they would have to do is go to a wi-fi hot spot, or connect via a different ISP and they could get around that.

One other thing I would suggest is to set your blog so that first time commenters are held in moderation till approved, then from that point forward they will not need approval. Settings > Discussion. The next step on that of course is to set it so that all comments are held in moderation until approved. That way you are in control, and they might just get tired and go elsewhere after a while.
