Hi Timethief,

thank you very much for getting back to me. To publish my posts, I followed the advice of this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/ - pasting the contents in to the "Paste from Word" box, but I am not sure if that is really enough to clean up the text from all the Word formatting code. What do you think? Also, I couldn't find the command you suggested "Go here and enable this > Settings > Writing
_ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
"save changes" Do I need it after pasting the content in to the "Paste from Word" box?
My other question is, after pasting the content in to the "Paste from Word" box, if I open the Text Box and insert the code
<div style="font-size:120%;">TEXT HERE</div> to make the font bigger, would that be ok?

Many thanks for your help! I do appreciate that.

Hi everyone,
I recently launched my blog, so I am pretty new and I am struggling with the appearance of my post as they look different, in terms of font size and style. I copied the contents for both of them from a Word Document and their original font and size is Calibri 13,5. I pasted the contents into the "Paste from Word" Box but the result is different. I would like the "Asparagus Risotto" one to look like "Spaghetti with Sundried Tomatoes Pesto". Would you kindly help me to understand how to do that? My theme is Forever - basic version - noCSS. Thanks a lot!

I managed to find the font family declaration used for the titles on your site. With Typekit, they never use just the font name, they, as you can see below, goof it up with numbers and such. Not sure why they do that unless it is to make it difficult for people.

No, I only copied and changed the actual rule I was trying to work on.

I think I'm starting to get it! Part of my confusion was in the names of the rules - I thought I needed to use a #comments rule but you have written a #respond, etc. rule.

I changed the color and font-size successfully, and now would like to know if I can make the font museo sans to match my entry-title. I did put it in the font-family line, but it didn't seem to take:

#respond #reply-title {
color: #191919;
font-family: Museo Sans, Arial, Helvetica, Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif;
font-size: 24px;
font-weight: 400;
}

Maybe it is not supported?

I just noticed that the change I made yesterday to the entry-title does not seem to have stuck. The original CSS was this:

.entry-title,
.entry-title a {
color: #191919;
display: inline;
font-size: 34px;
font-weight: 400;
}

I changed it to this:

.entry-title,
.entry-title a {
color: #191919;
display: inline;
font-size: 24px;
font-weight: 400;
}

Yesterday it made the entry titles to a blog post smaller. Today it is the same size as previously. I have gone back and forth, saving, previewing, etc and can't seem to change anything.

Am I trying to change the wrong CSS block? Although it did work yesterday. Is it because my site is not "live?" I am becoming very confused! Sigh.

No, we volunteers cannot see private sites. I set Quintus up on my test site and assuming you mean the "Comments" label above the comment text field, add this to your CSS and then edit as desired. I strongly suggest using a font stack, such as my example below since this gives you more control over font substitutions in the event that the Typekit font is not served up. If you have used Museo Sans in other areas of your site, you can copy the font stack out of the CSS so that it is the same.

I am using the Quintus theme and have customized the "Leave a Reply" text to say "Comments." Now I am having problems changing the font to Museo Sans and colour to match my entry title font. I changed the CSS to this:
#comments #comments-title {
border-radius: 3px;
display: block;
font-size: 16px;
text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
}

Font size was originally 20 px and colour was #eee. These changes did not change anything on my page. Maybe this is the wrong CSS block to change? Thanks for any help!

<br />
#widget_contact_info-2 .widget-title {<br />
    font-style: normal;<br />
}

That's because you got the underscore and dashes mixed up. ;-) Just tested the above and it should work.

Thanks for the feedback. I am now trying to change the font for the title of the Contact Information widget. This is what I tried:

#widget-contact-info-2 .widget-title {
font-style: normal;
}

But it did not work. Any advice?

You're welcome.

Depends a bit on the stuff you have inside the widget, and which part of the widget you want to affect.

I don't know what browser your using, but IE, Firefox, and Opera, Safari all have code inspectors that will allow you to look at the HTML and CSS (don't know about Chrome). Then you can look up the attribute and the css.

To change font size you need to change the font-size property in your CSS.
