Thanks. It looks like a manual blogroll is the way to go. It's no hardship.

The credit were hidden on the self-hosted site which is moving back to WordPress.com. I wasn't aware of the rules, but will reinstate them soon. This site is still very much in development mode and should still be hidden from the public.

There are a number of themes here that have "links" page templates that you can use. See toward the bottom of this post by Panos: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/archives-and-links-templates/ . The theme you are using is unfortunately not one of them.

Also, you are not allowed to hide the WordPress and theme footer credits here at wordpress.com. You will have to put them back in.

This is the free hosted WordPress.com blog in question > http://billbennettnz.wordpress.com/ and the Admin bar is there. However, the footer links have been removed and must be restored.

May I remove the ‘Blog at WordPress.com’ credit in my site’s footer?
Although the Custom Design Upgrade certainly grants you the capability to hide the credit from your site’s footer, you are not permitted to do so. Even our VIP bloggers are required to maintain the credit. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

Not that I'm aware of: you can't put a widget on a page. And of course we cannot use plug-ins on wp.com.

If this is your blog http://billbennett.co.nz/ and it is a blog being free hosted by WordPress.com, then I am confused by the appearance. And I have two questions to ask:
1. Where is the Admin bar at the top of the blog that we free hosted WordPress.com bloggers are not allowed to remove?
2. Where are the footer links that we free hosted WordPress.com bloggers are not allowed to remove?

I use a plug-in to give me a links or blogroll page.

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins.

As I rarely add links to my Links page, so the fact I must manually update it when I do is not a big deal for me. Maybe that's the same for you.

Hmm. Thanks. On that basis, I'd be better off manually writing my own blogroll page.

One cannot place a widget on a page: they are for sidebars only. However, you can copy the source code from a blogroll widget and paste it onto a page. But each time you edit your blogroll, you will have to update that code on your page.

It's possible to put a blogroll in a sidebar widget, but can I display this as page text?

Using white text on a white background is the same as hiding the text. Sorry! Can I help you find a better way to display it? I wonder if you do something like this instead. This is a start.

Change .center-column-sidebar to #footer-right here:

#footer-right {
    position: absolute;
    right: 0;
   top: 102px;
   width: 200px;
   left: 660px;
}

Also remove other rules to make the #footer text and links white. Change the text to a subtle gray maybe?

When inserting an image under alignment in the insert image overlay window, choose "center" as the alignment type before inserting the image. Right now all your images are set as "align none" which means left alignment with no text wrap.

You can open the posts in the editor, click on each image, click on the edit image button, then click on the "advanced" tab and change the alignment, click save changes and then update the post.

thanks a ton! 2 more things:
the <center> command in HTML does not work. Is the any chance to center images permanently with CSS?
Is is possible to put the credits from the widget sidebar back to the bottom of the page?

I think this will do it. Give it a try and see what you think. If you use the preview, the changes might not show up till after you force refresh the preview page. You also need to check all other pages as well to make sure nothing breaks on one of them.

thank you for your help. The footer credits are still there but in white color. I recolored it back to black.

the .post-info is fine on the left side. I am talking about the widget footer which is at the bottom of the page. Is it possible to move this to the right side of the blog?

First, can you please add back the footer credits? We require that you keep those in place.

To move the .post-info to the right in the Wu Wei theme, try this:

Hi there,

I'm hoping this is easy. I have some pictures in a gallery. When you click on a thumbnail it opens the picture in a page, within the theme, click again and it shows the picture direct linked (just the picture). I've seen on other blogs, like the link below, that you can have it such that clicking will go to the next picture in the gallery. I can't for the life of me work out what option I'm missing...
