But I would want it to be formatted in a particular way - a list of the posts, with maybe the forum name, post title, and an excerpt (the first few words of the post). Or something like that.

Does anyone know of a widget like this?

The list elements normally float next to each other but at the moment it's a plain old list with bullets taking a lot more room. Same goes for the german forum.

I am liking WordPress hosting it myself and i am looking to put up forums now for it. I like the easy functionality for the frontpage etc. My main concern is how basic and generic all of the forums are (This is for a gaming community that enjoys sharing videos / screenshots /files etc)

I fear the forums that have simple integration into WordPress are... to simple for my users.

Ive been debating for the past few hours if i should just skip integration and have forums as a whole separate thing because i cant seem to find a traditional forum that's easily installed (such as SMF)

Would anybody be so kind to point me out if there's a more traditional type forum that i can integrate into WordPress that isn't so generic?

Or any advice on what i could possibly do?
