Thank you very much for this quick answer. It explains the problems that I have been experiencing. I will go the cheap route and publish the direct wordpress url for those who want to get into the password protected pages on the site. Otherwise, the original domain we use will remain in force for all other visits.

If they do this through http://harmonyranch.wordpress.com/ they'll have no problem.

If you want to use the domain with proper functionality, you'll need to map it: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

I am having difficulty with paswords that I am setting on certain pages. The online documentation reads:

"WordPress will prompt you for the password on your initial visit to a protected page. After entering the password that first time, we’ll securely store the password with the browser you viewed it with so you won’t have to enter it again."

I have users that are prompted for the passwords. They enter the correct password but are prompted for the passwords again. I have purged cookies, temp internet files and refreshed their browser and still the same problem. When I make the page public, they are still prompted for a password. HELP!

If WordPress stores the password intially in the browers files and I as the admin, change the password, would the last password be incorrectly used when the user tried to access the page again? How does WordPress recognize that the password has changed and it needs to reach out to the user for entry.

Hi there,

I would like to create a sub domain on bordeen.com called store.bordeen.com and I want to forward that address (with masking to) http://www.freewebstore.com/bordeen

Currently, I have forwarded (with masking) http://www.bordeen.wordpress.com to bordeen.com which I registered with GoDaddy quite some time ago. I setup a subdomain called store.bordeen.com through GoDaddy, however, they said that it was hosted with WordPress and I that I would have to contact WordPress.

In summary, how can I create the sub domain called store.bordeen.com and forward it with masking to http://www.freewebstore.com/bordeen?

Thanks for your help,
I added a link as a menu thats title EPK on my site and when you click it from the killthemwithcolour.com site it goes to the artisecard site but that doesnt solve the issues of when people are given a link hats killthemwithcolour.com/epk it goes straight there, cuz at the moment it doesn.t how do i map or forward this type of thing. Really confused , thank you for any help. much appreciatted.

Hi,

Is there any way for me to use my .ca website on WordPress? I own parabole.ca and want to use it to setup a wordpress.

I know about the upgrade price and it's fine, but I can't find any option allowing me to use my domain...

Thanks in advance.
