This morning I woke to a $26 fee on my credit card from wp-fee.com.

After numerous phone calls (to the answering machine), and two e-mails, there has been no response. While I understand there may be time differences, backlogs on service/tech support, trying to get a financial issue resolved is important to almost everyone.

Just now I filed a fraud charge with my bank because there was no response. Of course that means my card is useless for three days, and I'll need to fix anything that is tied to it.

After searching online I learned that:
1) this, the $26 charge from wp-fee.com, happens quite a bit -- and is often not resolved.
2) you must have some kind of level three Illuminati password to actually talk to a human working at WP, or their parent company/companies.

If someone could contact me rapidly, that would surely be swell.

Here's the deal, I'm not very close with my husbands family so I'm rarely involved in their personal lives outside of typical get-together's. But, please, read on and help my weary mind if you can...

The culprit:

Who: My husbands sister. Lets call her Gracie.
Age: 23 years old
Children: One child, one on the way.
Relationship status: Engaged. Or should I say "Engaged"
Living situation: In my husbands parents basement.
Job Status: Employed Full Time. Boyfriend - No job.
Hobbies: Smoking weed, once, sometimes twice daily.

The problem: We were just over to my husbands parents for a get-together when his sister, "Gracie" asks us if we drink 1% milk, because she has a bunch that she's giving away. I asked her why she had so much extra milk, and she replied with "Because I get it with WIC, but Mom and Dad already have milk...so...you can have it if you want." I have issues with welfare abuse, so while trying to keep my ears from burning up, I politely asked "Why do you get it, if you don't need it?" She responded with "Because the checks include a whole bunch of stuff, like peanut butter, milk, bread, you know..so I have to get it all". I responded, a little more tweaked with, "Why don't you just leave what you don't need at the store?" and she immediately snapped back with a 4 year old response of "Because...I know what I'm doing, jeeze!"

My Thoughts: My husbands mom is a nurse, meaning she makes a good chunk of money, as does my father in-law. Also, if "Gracie" works full-time, then she also makes pretty good money, how is she even legitimately receiving WIC? It's absolutely fantastic that my hard earned money is going to random people that DON'T need help. Also, why in God's name did you get pregnant a SECOND time when you couldn't afford the first one, much less take care of yourself and your dead-beat boyfriend? AND SHE JUST GOT A MEMBERSHIP TO THE YMCA GYM!!! Right, I wish I could spend $80 a month on a gym membership and still get money handed to me...Jesus-H-Christ.

My Actions: Internet. I did one of those "Am I eligible for WIC" questionnaires that the website has, saying: I was pregnant, There were 5 people in the household (My parent-in-laws, their son, and Gracie and her Boyfriend), and I just guessed on the LOW END of the scale that their income was $50,000 a year. I was immediately DENIED wic assistance, but offered MN U-Care at a low monthly rate.

Follow up: A little more internet searching found me this, on the website for WIC:

"Participant fraud or abuse is an activity or action by WIC participants taken to obtain benefits to which they are not entitled and/or to misuse the benefits they receive. Actions include misrepresenting facts that are used to determine eligibility (such as income, the age of children, or the
existence of children); exchanging food vouchers for nonapproved items
(such as cash, alcohol or tobacco products, or sundries); selling or giving
away food obtained with vouchers; participating at more than one local
WIC agency simultaneously, thereby receiving multiple benefits, also called
dual participation; or verbally abusing WIC vendors and/or WIC employees."

So, she is blatantly committing fraud on two counts (they're in bold). I have been stewing about this since last week. I'm so upset that I can't stop thinking about it.

I want to report her - but how do I report my sister-in-law for something like that and still keep peace with my husband?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a complete loss. I feel like this issue is going to stand between her and I for a LONG time. I'm very nervous that next time I see her things are not going to be civil, I can't stand people taking my hard earned money to waste it away.

However, they are also spamming my site and when I get the comment it shows my name and my site just the diff email. I'm concerned they will start doing this on other sites where they won't know it isn't me.

How do I deal with this?

I've changed the password to my site but keeps happening.

Yes I do understand the cost involved as I'm a paralegal. The bottom line here is we Volunteers cannot help you and Staff have replied to you.

Also posting links that can be clicked on give the offending blog more "Google Juice" since this forum is scanned constantly by search engines.

Most of the people that help in the Forum are your fellow bloggers - the Staff at the links I gave you are the only ones that can deal with content that is offensive. It does not take a court order to take down many types of blogs -

Why is a blog that trashes a person life with lies and leave them open to lose their job allowed?

This can't possibly be abut free speech becuase this blog stifles free speech People will be afraid to voice any opinion for fear of having their life trashed on this slaking blog.

Please wordpress.com do the responsible thing.

I realize the standard repose is to get court order to take it do. Doses anyone realize how expensive that is and how difficult it i to do that when the person who write the blog is anonymous.

By allowing people to post the most vile of defamation under the guise of free speech actually stifles free speech. People are afraid of reprisal when the kind of pseudo information is post like this on an autonomous blog. Blogs like this result in harm to peoples business and people losing their jobs.

Please *read* the who blog. Much of the information is wrong and defamatory. The people who hey are accusing to be criminals in fact are not.

I feel that posting here was a bad idea because it potentially gives the troll more power against me and thus compromising my security even more.

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and tips and I hope that the WordPress staff decides to grant me my plea.

You do know that this is a public forum, right? And you do know the troll is getting what it wants because you posted here and it's watching you, right?

If I were you I would be asking worpress.com Staff support to delete all the links in this thread and then lock it. Then the troll could not see what I was doing and would not be getting off on my discomfort.

Sadly, I can't say the same for myself. They know what I look like, my name, where I work, where I study. I have learned my lesson about being so visible on the Internet the hard way and now I have to learn how to back away and let go.

I wish I won't have to feel paranoid or feel that I have to hide from people forever. It's just scary that when I go out, this person who's trying to ruin me or the people they've convinced will recognize me and hurt me for real. Or worse, they go after my loved ones. I really want to spare them from all that more than anything.

And I'm sorry if I'm just letting this out here. Talking to you has made me feel better and I've learned a lot of ways to try and fix this problem. If I find this person, then great. If I don't, I can just work on getting his fake blog deleted. But if even that doesn't work in my favor then I guess I'll just have to make sure his fake blog gets buried so deep in search engines that no one will find it.
