There is a location microformat. It would be nice for people who are interested, to include the location for posts - this would then lead to the possibility of seeing blog posts on maps.

There is a plugin for the hosted version of WordPress called GeoPress that seems to do this.

At the moment you can use Flickr's Geo feeds to view photos in Google Earth, it'd be nice to be able to see blog posts that way too.

If you've set up your blog on your own server and downloaded the software from wordpress.org, then you should go to: http://wordpress.org/support/

If you've set it up here at wordpress.com, then you can't install your own plugins since this is a shared 'environment', meaning that all of us who have a blog at wordpress.com share the same software.

I'm trying to add the geopress plugin to my wordpress blog and I can't figure it out. I have found some instructions on adding plugins but the instructions I can find refer to menu items that I don't have in my admin view. Example http://codex.wordpress.org/Image:plugins.png I don't have the "plugins" menu option.
I've only just setup my wordpress blog so I don't know if it's something I need to upgrade to or if it's no longer possible.
Any suggestions much appreciated. My goal is to be able to plot different locations with updates for each location and unless I've missed something geopress seems to do this... help much appreciated.
