I ran a search and found nothing that would help me. I have been in google for quite some time and then I just dissapeared. In google apps, rather than google blocking me I am blocking google. If maybe a new IRL bot could come or I could have a robots.txt simalar to http://mike92.wordpress.com/robots.txt it may fix it.
The domain name came from another site, and that may have edited my robots.txt file. I will need someone to fix this.

Someone mentioned a similar issue a couple of months ago. You should be able to find it using the Search box at the top of the forums.

Staff hours don't start for another 11 hours, if you want to wait for them instead.

Well, I have'nt been cached in google and it isn't that they banned me. I have a page rank of 5 and the reason why is because my site isn't allowing them. http://wweadam.com/robots.txt That shows that they are dissallowed yet I have my privacy settings allowing search engines. I really need help, urgently.

If you are starting a wordpress.com blog from scratch that you know you will want to monetize later by hiring a webhost and downloading a wordpress.org template, then IMHO it makes no sense at all not to go for a domain and domain mapping right away. I did that and my domain lost nothing when the domain was re-pointed from wordpress.com hosting to ASO hosting. The links and rank belong to the domain so it makes sense to understand that right from the beginning and to act accordingly.

The searches generally go to the .wordpress.com address for awhile. That's what I've noticed. Now that there are more links to raincoaster.com than raincoaster.wordpress.com rc.com outranks the other.

Actually that's not totally correct on #1 as wp.com is setup to forward from the old URL to the new one as long as the site is still here on wp.com. It'll take a bit though for search engines to recognize the switch but your traffic will remain the same as visitors who go to your old site, even from google or other search engines, will still show up on your site.

Your Technorati score will be shot though.

Do note that your wp.com blog currently can only be used for non commerical purposes though. Something to keep in mind since you bring up selling it off in the future.

I have been searching the forums for a week trying to figure out these answers. I am so afraid of being reprimanded for not trying that I am losing valuable time with domain mapping and I just can't afford to do that anymore.

Two questions...

1. xxx is my example name.

I just started another blog for my artwork - "xxx.wordpress.com". I have purchased the "xxx.com" name for it.

When I change the "xxx.wordpress.com" to my new "xxx.com" address, will the google rank and traffic be credited to my old wordpress.com domain or my new xxx.com domain? This is important because I may sell this xxx.com domain name someday and I want it to have a lot of traffic and a good seo ranking. Using WordPress is how I want to get there.

Question 2. I'm staying on wordpress.com for this. With an xxx.com domain name, do I still get to be a part of the tagging community? I know with wordpress.org you lose that.

Thank you. I appreciate your help.
