			<description><![CDATA[<p>This topic was closed a while ago, but I think the resolution was incorrect.</p>
<p>When I add a link in my blog to a "Static Page", using the link tool and select the "link to existing comment" radio button, it generates a Ham referral.</p>
<p>I think the behaviour is correct, but this may explain the confusion with the Ham statistics.

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Did you by chance make some test comments and then delete them previously? If so, the ham count is not reduced when you delete those comments, since that is still a ham comment that you received. The numbers almost never completely match up. My "ham" all-time in Akismet shows 363, but I have 373 comments on my site here. They never match up.

<p>Akismet tells me it detected 9 hams and, if I understand, it means that it detected 9 legit comments. But when I go to the "comments" section of the dashboard, there are way less than 9 comments. Why can't I see what happened to those comments ?
