Sorry, I was asleep, my bad. Add this instead and edit the color codes:

.widget_rss h3 a {
color: #CC0000;
}

.widget_rss h3 a:hover {
color: #4499EE;
}

On a Mac using Chrome, that turns almost all the text in all the widgets red after I plug in my color. (The content is almost all links, but I don't want a sea of "link color" in my sidebars.) The code needs to specify just the two RSS widgets, I think, but I can't figure out how to do it. Frustrating, because it seems like it should be fairly easy. Thanks, though. Nice seeing you again.

The titles of the RSS widgets are links, so they have different colors in most cases to differentiate them from normal, non-link titles. There are two colors: the non-hover color (first bit of CSS below) and then the color when you hover a mouse over the title (second bit of CSS). Add the following to the bottom of your existing custom CSS and then edit the hex color codes as you desire.

.widget a {
color: #224970;
}

.widget a:hover {
color: #000000;
}

Could someone help me with the code to change the color of the heads on my two RSS widgets? I've succeeded in getting all the other widget heads to display in red (#CF0300), but can't seem to get the code right to change the heads in the two RSS widgets, titled "The Great Outdoors" and "The Last Word." I'd really appreciate the help.

The smart app banner is becoming an important method to make the mobile website cooperate with an iOS app. I really wish the feature could be supported soon. So app developers would not get disadvantage when hosting the product page on WP.com.

Thanks for the link to your blog. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

That's very odd. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies and if your browser version is out of date you can upgrade it here. Then try changing the Blog Title on that page again. Be sure to click "save chnages" when you are done. If that does not work for you then you need to contact Staff for help.

Will you please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question? You can chnage your Blog Title and or the optional Tagline on this page at the top of it at anytime. > Settings > General
Don't forget to click "save changes" after you do make changes.

If you are referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog then you will need to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade so you can do the required CSS editing to remove the searchbox from the header area.

Also, the custom design upgrade does not allow you to add or modify the head section.

You would probably be better off self-hosting a wordpress installation on a third-party hosting service such as godaddy, bluehost, etc., using the software from wordpress.ORG. Figure an average overall cost of around $10 to $25 per month, everything considered.

I have created a music review site, basic and small. It is under construction, but plan to get it running ASAP. My aim is to review music, and have an affiliate link to iTunes to earn a commission on every click-through. I signed up to http://www.tradedoubler.com and they require me to verify my site by:

Copy a meta tag and paste it under the <HEAD> tag of the code of your sites homepage.
Or to
Create an empty file and simply name it: THE-CODE-GIVEN.html. Then save this file in the root of your webserver e.g. http://ralphiesmusicreviews.wordpress.com/THE-CODE-GIVEN.html>. You will need to access your hosting via your FTP or web browser to do this.

I have no idea how to do any of these, and have no intention of paying just to edit the CSS just to verify my site.

Hi,

I want to change the thumbnails that Facebook displays when I share posts from my WordPress.com blog. The most common solution I've found is to add a line into the <Head> section:
<link rel="image_src" href="http://www.mywebsite.com/logo.jpg" />

Being a WordPress.com user, though, I can't access the Head section / header.php. So I'm stuck.

How can I achieve the same result and choose my own FB thumbnails?

Help would be much appreciated
