That's the way the theme is designed: you can't hide the subpage links except if you have the Custom Design upgrade.
Very few themes display links to subpages this way, so you can simply select a different theme.

How can I hide subpages to appear on a page (not on a menu)?

I don't want subpages to appear nor to be accessed anyway except through the links in the text as you can see on my page when you scroll down and click on 4noggins.

I'm sorry but something like that cannot be added using CSS only. CSS is for styling the appearance of elements that are already on the page, it cannot be used to add functionality like a sharing bar.

1. I want to hide the tags at the end of every post. I want to keep them effective, but I dont want to display them after every post. I think it is annoying and creates a huge gap between posts. However, I would like to keep the "Posted In" active. I only want to HIDE the tag (not remove it, as I understand that it helps in search engines).

I don't think that is as big a problem as some people make it out to be. Google is good enough to know when someone is doing it with ill intent, and you are not.

On a side note, as I was googling this topic, I stumbled upon some random forum threads where it says it's bad for google to have invisible content/tags and you could get penalized. Do you know if that's true and what does it mean?

Hi Everyone,

I want to use tags in my Reddle theme blog but I would like to hide them if possible. I don't mind if they come at the end of the post after the jump break or are just hidden altogether, I just don't want them on the main page. Can anyone help me with this? I have the CSS upgrade.

Ah, that's helpful to know (that you were referring to the mobile theme specifically). You can apply CSS to the mobile theme by going to Appearance → Custom Design → CSS and making sure the "Mobile-compatible" setting is set to "Yes." Then you can target the mobile theme by starting your CSS selectors with

body.mobile-theme

Hi.. The reason it's not appearing on mobile now is that I had to remove the mobile theme completely in order for it to not appear. This changes the look somewhat when using a mobile device (not as well set as the mobile theme) but I'm happy with it for now. :)

Ok. I'm back! Reason being is; this worked on the computer version fine, but the date/time stamp still appears on mobile. Any way to correct that?

I checked http://jaquelinephillips.wordpress.com/ on my iPhone and I couldn't see the timestamp for posts on that home page. Is that where you're looking?

Also note that Hatch's design it will only display 8 posts on the home page, regardless of the settings in Settings -> Reading.

I am nearly incompetent when it comes to website construction so bear with me...all I want to do is hide the "feature image" at the top of my posts.

If you see my home page, there are 12 thumbnails (which are the feature images I have set). I DO want the images to appear on the home page, but once you click on the post, the feature image appears again at the top. I do NOT want the image to appear here.

How can I get that sucker out of there? Is there script I can put into each post? Is there a box I can uncheck? Can I set the opacity to 0? If it's script I need every last bit of what I will need to copy and paste. I've searched all over and found plenty of script, but when I paste it into my post text, it shows up in my post as a bunch of jibberish. I used to be pretty handy with HTML, but I am lost anymore.

Instead of using the Pages widget, try building a custom menu and using a Custom Menu widget. It's much easier to work with as far as organization goes.

There is also a feature that allows "hiding" pages by Tags (whatever they are. I've seen them on posts, but not on pages.). I've also noticed that one can (presumably) do it by date, which I suppose means that if I set the date on my want-to-hide pages to a certain day, I could exclude them that way.

As you know, I decided not to use the "hide" feature, nevertheless WordPress may want to check out the feature, because I couldn't get it to work--and I'm pretty certain I did it correctly.

No. Because there is a DreamWeaver-type functionality that is supposed to save time by allowing an indirect inclusion of the page ID numbers. If you click on "Visibility," which is just to the left at bottom of widget, the DW set-up appears. (It also appears not to be working).

Exclude: If you would like to exclude any pages from being displayed, you can enter the Page IDs (separated by commas). To find the Page ID, go to Pages → All Pages and click the title of the page. I have a widget that isn’t doing what I’m telling it to. On the right-hand column, I have the books in my online library. All the site’s pages are shown. I told the widget which ones to hide. It didn’t hide them. Can you help?

Well, just remove the Meta widget.

Now, if you also want no content on archive pages and no dates on category pages, turn my previous suggestion to this:

.entry-tags, .photo-meta ul li.first, .date .archive-wrapper, h4.post-meta {
display: none;
}
