I'm sorry, I should have noted for you that I moved it to the ideas forum because in your first post, you were not so much asking a question about a theme as giving an idea for an improvement to a theme: an idea about how to make the theme better.

I cannot imagine why any blogger, particularly a business blogger for example, a blogger with a photography site would want to strip THE most effective and important branding tools out.

With the custom menu I described, the navigation bar becomes invisible to readers but the title continues to exist in the code. Search engines can still read both because the blog still has a Site Title and Tagline~just not visible to readers. For example, there are themes which do not display the tagline by design, but search engines can still read them.

-I was testing Oulipo earlier. I ended up switching back to Letterhead temporarily.
-I want to hide the menu and title etc. because I think it looks cruddy on the left side when the visual weight of the template lies to the right...
-Also, half the time when I load Oulipo, you can't even SEE all of the menu, thereby making it useless for navigational purposes.
-I also would like to hide the title, etc. is because I would like to use the "custom header' function to put my blog title and everything at the TOP of the page -- so people will see it right off the bat -- and it's kind of redundant to have your blog title in two places. :)

Now, I'm sure I could just remove my blog title and everything from my General Settings tab, but that would screw with my search engine rankings, so I'd prefer to not do it that way.
