Okay that's definitely a good idea for when people go to my blog. I still want to keep blogging on my blog but still confused on how I could attach it to my website. Because I feel like with two different urls, I won't be able to build sort of a system between my website and blog that's interconnected, you know what I mean? For example, as one grows I want the other to grow as well because they're connected with each other.

I know people with websites can easily make a blog and attach it to their website (www.example.com/blog), but doing the opposite of that seems kind of impossible.

So I'm creating a website but also buying a new url for it. I want to know if I can take the blog I have now and some how add it to my website? I want to make it so its like http://www.example.com/blog or blog.example.com or something along those lines when you click on my WordPress blog through my website.

The fact that they will have two different urls really confuses me, especially since I don't want my blog url being replaced by my new one because I have a lot of history behind it. So I'm thinking I won't be able to do blog.example.com unless they were both on the same url..? I don't know, this process is just really confusing and I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks.

Hi, I was wondering why wordpress.com doesn't allow plugins...
I've heard that's because security reasons, but I'm very lay to understand that exactly.
So, if there's any possibility, my suggestion would be that, instead of users, the wordpress team add some useful popular plugins.
I'd love to use Fotomoto on my blog, but definetely am not disposed to host my own site...

I find when I move a site from a folder into the root of the same hosted account that it will also break all the pictures and linked files and even the design, because of the folder name is still in the url references for these files. I fix this by manually removing the folder reference (eg in a page or post, going to HTML view, etc), or by downloading a copy of the database and doing a search and replace in a text editor to remove the folder reference - be careful with this and keep a backup of the backup.

What I'm saying is you may need to correct the url that your WordPress site is using to try to find these files (change it from the old hosted url to the new WordPress.com hosted url).
