Hi,
I want to give my readers access to two eLearning modules that I created. One was made using Articulate and the other with Captivate, both authoring software. Here’s a list of the file types, which allow the modules to run:

swf
html
htm
css
xml
js

I know WP.com does not support these files, so I’m looking for advice. I want to continue using WP.com to build my site, but maybe link to my eLearning modules hosted/stored somewhere else, and not spend a ton of money. Some of the questions I’ve considering:

1.	If I upgrade with WP.com, will these files be supported?
2.	Can I host or store somewhere else and then link from WP to my modules?
3.	If #2 is the way to go, can anyone recommend a hosting site besides Go Daddy?
4.	Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Denise

Read these please:
Note this is a multiuser blogging platform and the Custom Design upgrade does not permit the editing of the core PHP or template files of any theme.

Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup, PHP code, or content. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications, suitable hosts can be found here. Read more about why here. You can choose to apply your custom fonts or custom stylesheet to any of the themes available on WordPress.com. Some themes, like the plain but versatile Sandbox and Toolbox, are blank canvases waiting for your custom fonts, CSS and images. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

Hi,

I'm taking it look on my phone right now and I totally see what you're talking about.

Taking a quick guess, it looks like your <p> tags have a style attached (maybe this came in when pasting from somewhere else?)

They look like this:

<p style="margin-bottom:0;"><span style="color:#000000;">natural = has not been changed by people</span></p>

If you notice, that line also has styling to make the font color black. I get this kind of thing when pasting in from other sites, word, or google docs - maybe not exactly the same problem, but similar ones.

Trying "paste as plain text" (ctrl-shift-v on my pc) when pasting your text in might avoid that problem, but for now try going into 'text' mode and deleting some of that offending styling code and seeing if that fixes your problem and lemme know!

I'll be so thankful if someone can help me sort this out. I've uploaded a child theme (twentytwelve) through the WordPress dashboard and activated it which all works fine. When you go to Editor, it says:
This child theme inherits templates from a parent theme, Twenty Twelve.
and...
Stylesheet: style.css
Everything seems to be working, but the page displays with no style elements in straight html format. I've tried using the line:
@import url('../twentytwelve/style.css');
and I've even tried copying the entire style.css and pasting it under my child theme heading. In neither case does it show any style being applied. I'll be deeply appreciative to anyone who can help me figure this out.
