It could also be an issue with a misbehaving invisible proxy server at your ISP. They use those to speed up delivery of content and to lower their bandwidth usage, but sometimes the get messed up. Hopefully this will sort itself out in a day or two.

Log out, clear your IE cache and cookies, restart IE and take another look. With IE, sometimes you might have to do this twice. It can be stubborn. :)

I have a wordpress blog that is hosted by WordPress but I have mapped it to a custom domain (registered through dreamhost.com). I uploaded the blavatar months ago. It appears as the icon for the page in my dashboard but when I open the blog () in IE, it just shows the IE logo.

Any suggestions?

The rule of thumb is to assign the least combined number of categories and tags that accurately describe the post content.

I've been blogging on a Mac and was recently made aware that my blog looks horrible when visited on IE!
I've read threads on images disappearing and text looking odd, but I can't even see my text!

I don't paste text from Word - I noticed that could've been a problem. I write directly in the text box WordPress provides.

I am using a them called SpaPress I found on line that I am able to customize perfectly for what I am want however when I started showing it to someone in IE all of the links are bad. When I click on Hello World! to open that post IE shows tries to go to http://vcbathbodytreats.com/blog/#/?p=1 so it goes back to just the main page .com when I look at the properties of the link its correct, if I right click and open in new tab or page its correct but whenever I click a link it adds /#/ after blog and goes back to vcbathbodytreats.com and I have to page back and add /blog/ after the .com myself.

Everything works in Chrome, I have not tested in Firefox or Safari since I have not download them yet but I want to get this issue fixed before I move on to completing the site.

I'd try the CSS code above in IE8, but it didn't change anything. I will keep it for IE9 though. I will upgrade IE on my personal computer, but I won't be able to on my work computer. Thank you for your help!

What version of IE are you viewing your site in? If anything earlier than IE9 you may encounter issues.

My blog shows up perfectly in Google Chrome; however, it looks a mess when using IE. Is there a CSS code to make my blog show up correctly (or at least close) in IE? My main issue is that the Flickr widget I'm using is making the pictures extremely big. Also, there is a red box around my tagline, and the dates have extra colors that shouldn't be there.

I have a photoblog, when clicking images they're supposed to show up in full image size (in my case constrained to 1280px).

This works in IE, in Chrome however the image fails to show fullsize.

Note that you may also be able to add a CSS rule just like the IE8 one you mentioned using "img.size-large" to work around this issue.
