Yeah, I'm seeing it in Firefox and Safari, so I think you are good to go.

It could also be an issue with a misbehaving invisible proxy server at your ISP. They use those to speed up delivery of content and to lower their bandwidth usage, but sometimes the get messed up. Hopefully this will sort itself out in a day or two.

IE sometimes gets confused. I just checked your site and the first time I loaded it, the favicon did not show, but the second time I viewed it, the icon showed up (red "S" on a black background).

Log out, clear your IE cache and cookies, restart IE and take another look. With IE, sometimes you might have to do this twice. It can be stubborn. :)

Hi there,
The blog looks fine in IE8 and as IE9 and IE10 are the most recent versions note that IE7 is not supported and has not been for over a year now.

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

I've been blogging on a Mac and was recently made aware that my blog looks horrible when visited on IE!
I've read threads on images disappearing and text looking odd, but I can't even see my text!

I don't paste text from Word - I noticed that could've been a problem. I write directly in the text box WordPress provides.

Any help??

I have searched high and low and I am not sure if it is because I don't how to explain what is going on or just that I some how did something that nobody else has done... Here is my issue

I am using a them called SpaPress I found on line that I am able to customize perfectly for what I am want however when I started showing it to someone in IE all of the links are bad. When I click on Hello World! to open that post IE shows tries to go to http://vcbathbodytreats.com/blog/#/?p=1 so it goes back to just the main page .com when I look at the properties of the link its correct, if I right click and open in new tab or page its correct but whenever I click a link it adds /#/ after blog and goes back to vcbathbodytreats.com and I have to page back and add /blog/ after the .com myself.

Everything works in Chrome, I have not tested in Firefox or Safari since I have not download them yet but I want to get this issue fixed before I move on to completing the site.

The Flickr widget was designed to accept a Flickr feed, but you are using a different feed. It appears @zandyring worked to help you with some CSS to customize based based on the different RSS you're using that should work in IE9.
http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/issue-with-flickr-widget?replies=3#post-1151473

Note that we support IE9 and higher, but I tried to come up with some better CSS for you anyway. Note that I tested this CSS with IE9 using compatibility mode, so you should test it on IE8 yourself to see if it works better for you:

.widget_flickr {
	text-align: center;
}

#flickr_badge_uber_wrapper {
	width: 200px;
	display: inline-block;
	margin: 0;
	padding: 0;
}

#flickr_badge_uber_wrapper img {
	max-width: 200px;
}

#flickr_badge_wrapper td {
	overflow: hidden;
}

Also, please upgrade your browser if at all possible!
Deleting content and/or changing themes will not eliminate that error message. By default your front page displays all your posts and you have not published any posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of your blog appeared because you deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Were you able to try switching the images to large instead of full size as a test?

Note that you may also be able to add a CSS rule just like the IE8 one you mentioned using "img.size-large" to work around this issue.

If you need further help, please reply back here to let us know what you've tried already.

I took a quick look myself to see what I could find, and I noticed that the rule you mentioned from Chateau's stylesheet is setup to work on images that have a class of "size-full":

img.size-full {
max-width: 100%;
width: auto; /* Prevent stretching of full-size images with height and width attributes in IE8 */
}

And the images in the http://getvelvet.org/2012/10/11/grand-designs-live-part-3/ post are using a class of "size-large". Can you try inserting some of the images as full width instead of large to see if that fixes the problem for you in IE8?

Thank you for posting screenshots! I will research this issue, but please also note that IE8 is an outdated browser and issues that affect current, up-to-date browsers will get priority. I'll post back as soon as I have more information.
