Hello,

I am new to wordpress and need some help with the last thing left to do on my blog before I can start posting!

I have created my blog in a customised Twenty Eleven theme and have basically kept it completely basic and minimal.

I have made it so only post appears at a time and then I created (with a LOT of help from justpi) a page which displays all the posts in thumbnails as tiles.

Now I want to add a link to this page at the bottom of my main page (where the posts are - one post per page) below the text of the post. So as it stands now, I add an image with every blog post and then add some text. Below this text I now have a "Older Posts" and "Newer Posts" links. Below these two links and in the middle, I would like a link to the page of thumbnails to read "View all Posts".

Can anyone help me with some CSS (if that is what I need), or with what it is I might need to make this possible?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you

I am using the Mixfolio theme. I built a gallery, thumbnail grid, linked to media file. Whenever I hover over a image a gray border appears. I have the css upgrade and have tried just about everything to get rid of it without effecting the current layout and look. (example: padding: 0;) that does kind of fix the problem; however, it changes to look. Any help would be wonderful.

You're welcome!

Extra tip:
Many of the images you insert are wider than 900px, and they get downsized to fit. But images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness - see this post of mine for an example:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/01/16/image-quality/
So, if you want best quality on the post, you should use an image editing application to downsize copies of the originals to 900px, and upload/insert those copies instead of the oversized originals.

a) The images on that post behave as expected when you haven't taken care of what I originally suggested: they display at the default max-width for TL (620px).
b) You disregarded the first paragraph of my previous rely. At the moment browsers are reading two stylesheets (the original plus your modified version of it), and this can create conflicts.

So let me check that post again after you go to the CSS editor, enter 900 in the Content Width field, check the option "Don't use the theme's original CSS", click Save.

First of all, read this post of mine:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/02/21/where-is-the-theme-css-and-how-do-i-edit-it/
You should either delete everything from the CSS editor and add only the specific changes you make, or at least (if you insist on keeping the entire stylesheet in the editor) check the option "Don't use the theme's original CSS."

Second, I checked the image codes in your latest two posts, and they aren't ok: the size command is missing from the class attribute, and the dimensions are wrong (width 1248px instead of 900px). Did you make these changes yourself in the Text editor? Can you give us the URL of a post in which the image wasn't inserted in the size you wanted but you didn't "increase the size to 130%"?

This does not affect the good reads widget borders. I can't seem to find a way to get rid of those with CSS.

I can't quite figure what I'm doing wrong here, or what it is that WordPress isn't liking...
I want to upload an image grab into a blog post. I used the free Mac app Grab, which I've never had problems with before, to size and select the screen grab I want. I saved three versions, as tiff, as jpg and as gif. I've tried adding each into a blog post / the gallery, but on each it won't upload and I get the error message, 'Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons'.

Any insights or suggestions?
