Everytime I attempt to post an image gallery to this and any other page the gallery will only show the first 4 images imported into the gallery. I have tried disabling all plugins and still have this problem. Anybody know where there might be something in the code preventing more than 4 images in an image gallery? I have chosen my main page to be the showcase template. I can only guess that I need Ephemera to start anything, that I also need to state the status of posts to appear in the showcase, but controlling fetured images and the look of the showcase lacks in tutorials that are clear enough.
Another thing that irritates me is no sidebar with individual posts, and at least an opotion for such on the main page. Of course I understand that much is possible but as for now I dread touching code modifications and extensive working with HTML, PHP or CSS, maybe in the future...
One question aside: I think it's wiser to insert photos to my blog repository already made 'lighter', downsized than cropping or 'thumbnailing' them while inside WP - what do you think ?

This is happening because of a combination of a change that was made to the core WordPress software and how the Blogum theme works with galleries. I have reported it as a bug to our theme team to see if there's anything we can do from our side to fix it.

Since yesterday, any Gallery using the "type" parameter does not load on first load for me, i.e. on the homepage of any site. Clicking through to the single post does load the Gallery. The default thumbnail grid is unaffected.

@justjennifer, yup, this is the exact problem I'm having, and I've tried viewing it on Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

At first I thought it was because my browser was loading a saved version of the site, so I cleared the cache/cookies but still the same. And this problem only cropped up 2-3 days ago, I haven't changed my browser, computer or ISP in the meantime.

I can help with that. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

I am just concerned that if others view it from Chrome they will run into this same problem.

@trietybird I am glad to hear that it is not the theme that is causing the problem and that it appears to be site-wide. Hopefully it gets fixed in the upcoming days. At least I know that I don't have to change my theme.
