Featuring posts in a slider on your home page is easy. You just need sticky posts with Featured Images. Every sticky post you have (up to ten posts) that has a Featured Image (at least 850 pixels wide, 400pixels height) attached will show up in the scrolling marquee.

I'm using Ever After for my blog and am trying to get the sticky post slider to work. I know the dimensions needed, yada yada, I click the "sticky post" box when I'm editing...and NOTHING! I'm so confused. Also, what exactly is a featured image?? This may be my problem but I have NO idea how to make an image featured...I just use the good ole' uploader on the edit post page. THANK YOU for your help!

I have a couple of minor problems I would very much appreciate some help with.

The image slider at the top of the homepage sort of drops down and changes position for a split second during the fade to the next image and I think this is more than likely very irritation to readers, is there some way I can fix this>

Also, on each post I would like to clean up the way everything is listed around the author picture to where the name, date and category are all in line with the image instead of having a break after the author name.

Note that if you were to delete the header, you could always add it back as long as you have a copy of the image, so you shouldn't worry.

3. I want to remove the 'CATEGORIES' from the left sidebar.

This should work:

Staff provide CSS editing support in accord with the the earliest dates on the threads in this CSS Forum.

I've managed to find the CSS code to remove the date from the text on the featured image slider on the home page. But if anyone can help with changing the background of the site to black while keeping the background colour of the main body white and removing the 'CATEGORIES' from the left sidebar, that would be very much appreciated.

I've purchased the Custom Design upgrade if that helps, but not sure how to edit the CSS or if I need to...

This is a bug specific to "retina" or Hi-DPI devices (like iPad, iPhone, and some newer Macbooks). We're aware of the problem but don't have a fix quite yet. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your patience while we work on it!

Just checked in on my blog from Safari on iPad and noticed that the photos on the image slider on the main page are stretched horizontally. Anyway to fix that? Admittedly, I haven't looked at the blog in different browsers, so how knows maybe this is also happening elsewhere...

Sight displays up to 30 of your latest sticky posts that have featured images in a prominent slider on the front page. To add a post to the slider, mark it as sticky and give it a featured image.

I have added 5 posts which I've made sticky and added featured images to each of them. However, the front page does not display the image slider as advertised on the theme's showcase page.

However, each theme behaves a little differently, so it would help you if you were to read about the one you are using, which seems to be Oxygen.

On the same topic, I also want all my sticky post content (2-3 sentences) to appear on the image slider text area, so it does not display "Continue to read". Is that possible?
