wrote out a post and wanted to insert an image (which i drew on ppt). tried upload media but that shows a link. tried cut and paste and image first showed weird (no colours/ only dashes and some text) and now doesnt show at all when i repeat cut and paste.
can someone pls help? (also working with a amc - new to that as well!)

Searched the forum . nothing relevant came up..
Adding media (image) to a particular post is not "fully" functional in IE9. No dont tell me to use another browser, or dont give me url to show how its done..

i have figured out how to upload the image but its a long process and is a PITA. I read timethief's response on a post stating "the new system is here to stay".. but my gripe is ... does it improve the user experience..? Nope (spouting)..

Question is do u (wordpress) really care... ??

The glitch when adding full-sized images in IE9 should now be fixed. If you still see anything amiss when you do that, please let me know. Thanks!

Good to know. I will try it out in the next post. I used different browser like kathryinwp suggested and it worked. Thank you both for suggestions.

I was able to get around this issue in a not so quick but effective way. I clicked on media chose the pic, then went to the little drop down menu that shows the sizes and chose each one individually, ending with the one i wanted (full). Then i clicked insert and it accepted it as the full size i wanted. For some reason, if i didn't choose all the options, it would insert as the medium size even though it was showing full as chosen.

it is a different issue, pictures either randomly become tiny or huge and sometimes look normal. It only happens until I press F5 and it started long before the changes to media handling.

Now I am having the issue from this thread as well. I upload image that is 500 pixels wide but it uploads as 300 pixels wide. Here no amount of refreshing helps. Here is an example http://lovingkorean.wordpress.com/2012/12/10/free-wallpapers-holiday-gift-from-loving-korean/

I am using Internet Explorer 9.

my media settings have a max of 1024 pixels each way. so there shouldn't be a reason why a 500 pixel width image isn't showing correctly. nothing on that link pertains to my question. can i get one on one assistance somehow?

my blog fits images as 500 pixels wide. so i always save my horizontal images that way. I just took some pics, resized them to my normal sizing and uploaded them to the media library. they uploaded fine.

but when i go to insert them into a post, they are showing upas only 300 pixels wide (the medium and not full setting) even though full is chosen. in preview mode they are in fact showing as the 300 pixel wide setting. what's going on? i'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix it.

i tried to manually change the image sizing once it's been added to the post by editing it's details but that is only stretching out the 300 pixel image to 500 pixels and making it blurry.

i want my original 500 pixel upload to display correctly. did i miss an update about this? please help!

I can't upload images into the blog using the upload media tool, I can't make links with the link tool, and I can't make tags with the tag tool.

Since yesterday I have been getting a persistent 'incomplete request' error when uploading photos from the standard uploader. I tried the multi-file uploader as well, an in its case the error message becomes 'HTTP error' without any specifics. The files which I tried to upload are quite small in size (500-700KB) and I have not had any trouble uploading files to other websites even after this error occurred.

I use Chrome and Firefox running on Windows 7, and i encountered this error in both the browsers. I cleared the cache and cookies as it was suggested in the support section, but the problem did not go away. Any help that you can give to clear up this problem is most welcome!

BTW, it isn't wordpress that is causing the issues, it is that theme you are using. I found serious inconsistencies in the CSS in just the couple minutes I was looking at the CSS. Unless of course it is the modifications you have made that are causing the issues - which it could be.

In my new project using the altop theme, I have the following problem:
When I upload an image of 600px by 400px full size into the content area, it is not shown full size in the webpage but resized to 450 by 300.
In the source code of the page it says 600 by 400, and when you click on the pic and it is shown on a seperate page it is 600 by 400.
However, in the webpage it is resized to 450 by 300, although there is enough room for 600px in width. When you right click the pic and look at the properties it says 600 by 400 resized to 450px by 300!
in my WP settings/media for large size I have 1024 px,
the uploaded pic has less than 120 KB.
I´m using WP 3.3.1, with the altop theme (which I altered a bit)

So why is the picture resized when appearing in the website?
