The images I have previously added to posts now appear as a box with a question mark in it.

When I try to add a new image to a blog, it is recognising I am trying to insert an image, and the box with a question mark appears instead of the image.

I have tried new post, different images and logging in and out. No change.

Advice please. Thanks

I fixed it by putting in the empty text widget, so it doesn't scroll anymore.

I tried to view the site on my iphone and the images load fine, so it must be some issue with WordPress updating the way sites are viewed that I'm not able to view the images on this particular computer?
I cleared my cache and reset Safari (5.0.6).

Just find it irritating that I could view everything just fine before... WP makes some change that I'm not aware of, and now I can't view it. Same computer, same browser.
Likely I can view it fine at home. (this is my work computer, so I'm limited to changes I can make).

It says:

"The Reading Page at Settings > Reading has this setting >

But my Settings > Reading page does not have that setting.... so is there some other way to disable infinite scrolling? (I hate infinite scrolling anyway...!)

It worked fine before, I think it must be the auto infinite scroll. Because, despite the large number of images, the images worked before, there must be something about that change (or some similar change) that makes it so the images won't load.

I've tried multiple browsers.

Thanks for your assistance! I'll try disabling the scrolling and using the "more" feature, "more". (but ideally the images should load, as they did previously and I did no change...)

I'm seeing so many images loading on your front page that I clicked out. If you can't see them you have a browser issue. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
trying another browser

If those do not work for you then we need to know
(1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

(2) exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

Can someone please help me remedy this situation. I am using the Nuntius theme for my blog but for some reason, the images do not display after I post them. One can only see the image when a particular blog title/entry is clicked on. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks

Are you using the WordPress app because all images show as code unless you press the preview button before you publish then you see images as they will appear on your blog. Otherwise you need to post your query here;

I'm using Firefox 6.0.1 and you blog loaded very quickly for me. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

Do you have third party cookies enabled? Do you have another browser you can try?

You can use this link to see if your Flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so check for known issues. When you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.

Hi

I was adding a new post to my site (http://studio279.co.uk) which uses the structure theme. I was adding the featured image so it would display correctly on the home page. After uploading the image from my computer the image did not appear. I tried again three times until it finally showed the picture, both in the media gallery and the "Set Featured Image" section of the new post interface. However, after publishing the post my site has been very slow, and has not been loading some of the images on the homepage. I tried the site again later, and was met with an error message HTTP 500 and the site did not display. While the site now seems to be back online, it is again slow to load images. Is there a reason for this, e.g. something to do with the amount of pictures in the media gallery, or some other reason? And is there anything I can do to correct it, or will it right itself soon?

Thanks
