Is there any way have categories load and flow on a single page like they used to?

PS: When the Scroll Infinitely is checked, the front page shudders horribly and doubles up some of the posts.

I thought your question was interesting, and I wonder how many other people would be interested in something similar.

Also, when I increase / decrease the size of my browser, the location of the blog's additional page moves too. Is there a way to stabilise this? Or it it just par to the parcel with the Fluid layout?

First, try adding this and just previewing and then change the width of the browser again. It will help you visualize what's happening:

#branding {
	border: 1px solid blue;
}

#header-left {
	border: 1px solid red;
}

Then edit the "1024px" in the "#branding" block of CSS to "600px" to make the #branding area smaller so everything fits a bit better when the browser size is smaller and preview again. If you like it, get rid of the red and blue borders and save changes after that.

Is there a way to reduce this distance, so that the faint grey line can sit more snugly beneath?

Try this:

Add this except replace the url() value with your image:

#branding {
	background: url('http://s.wordpress.org/about/images/wordpress-logo-notext-bg.png') no-repeat;
	width: 1000px;
	height: 350px;
}

Then if you're still having trouble, post back here with the link to your blog so someone can help you take another look.

I am having the same problem that lots of other people seem to have had...trying to increase the size of my header in my Imbalance 2 theme blog, to go across the whole page!

I have been doing lots of reading: and have tried the solution offered here: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/enlarging-your-header-image-in-imbalance2?replies=4#post-790098, using multiple images, and no change seems to occur...

I do have the CSS upgrade, and am using (or trying to) an image that is 1000px wide, by 350pix high.

I would like this to simply stretch across the whole screen (I have the Fluid option selected).

I am sure I am just missing something really obvious, and I am trying to learn how CSS works, but I admit I am very new to it so thank you for your patience.

Regarding the footer I'd really like to see two more columns for 2 additional widgets. There are so many cool widgets around and it's just sad to have no space for them ... when there's so much space available.

1) These errors are as a result of the W3 validator's lack of support for current HTML5 properties, and should not affect the display or quality of your site.

2) This is how Imbalance 2 was originally designed -- it's "imbalanced", as per the theme name. :)

1. The HTML-code of Imbalance 2 seems to be a mess. Have a look at the W3 validator's results here: http://j.mp/Imbalance2HTML

2. The footer would be just great if it'd have 4 (four) places for widgets (that'd be 5 in total for the theme). Why are there only 2 columns? It simply doesn't fit into the overall 4 columns grid of the start, tags, and archive pages; http://j.mp/Imbalance2Demo

Bottom line: The categories/tags cannot be moved or hidden without a custom design upgrade and I don't know if CSS editing can be used in this case. I'm flagging this thread so it's moved to the Themes Forum. Themes Staff monitor threads there and they will reply to you.

I put together my TePonui blog earlier today using the Imbalance 2 Theme. At first it looked perfect - the posts (although they had been categorised) were coming up fine on the home page without actually displaying the name of the category they are listed under at the top of them. But after I added the 8th post or so, suddenly the names of the categories started appearing on the homepage itself, above each post link. I can't understand why it has done this and I want to get rid of it, as it looks messy!

Does anyone know how to reverse this? I've tried going into the settings tab and making sure that 'categories' is unchecked in the 'enhanced feeds' tab
