While editing the post you'd like to add the image to, click on the Add Media button.

Next, choose the "Media Library" tab rather than the "Upload Files" tab.

From here, there should be a dropdown with several options, including "All media items" and "Uploaded to this post".

Make sure that you have selected "All media items".

From there you should be able to see your image, select it, and click the "Insert into post" button in the bottom right hand corner.

Please let me know if selecting "All media items" doesn't fix the issue!

Thanks for your answer. I will go through all your above points & suggestions one by one, in order to determine the exact position of the problem and would report back to you within a few days.

Just one point.

When I use a computer in my friend's house, I DO NOT encounter any of the problems, which I described in my above post, which indicates to me very clearly that my problem is tied and interbraided solitarily with my own browser & computer & not with any other computer.

I have got a Medical website in Urdu Language.

I have got a very strange problem, which I did not have in the past and has only come into being in the last 7 days.

When I want to make a new "POST" (Not Page), the button on top left, "Add Media" does not respond. Normally it responds immediately & a Window (Insert Media) opens up, through which, I can download the pictures & Urdu Articles, very easily.

Furthermore, if I want to add a New Category to the post, it also does not respond. Same is the case with Tags. They also dont respond, which prevents me from attaching categories & tags to the new posts.

But amazingly, if I want to start a new "PAGE", then there is absolutely no problem. Each time I click the top left button, "Add Media", it promptly opens up the Window, "Insert Media", through which I can easily download the pictures on the new page.

So, the problem lies only with the new "POSTS" and not with the new "PAGES", which is very strange.

Please let me know what to do.

What's happening is that when I'm creating a post and want to insert a video and paste its URL into the appropriate box in the INSERT MEDIA window, that's as far as I can go. The actual llittle tab or button or whatever that says INSERT, that button is suddenly missing. It's just not there, so I can't complete the function.

I can paste the URL into the box for that, but the 'insert' button isn't there!

If those do not work then we need to know:
(1) How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
(2) And exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

At the moment featured images in Structure will show in the homepage top area if they are the right size (620x380 pixels) or larger, but still they won't show in the single post view (if you have enabled that option).
