Sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.

If you do not know the difference, see this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .

Also, you should probably contact the plugin author as this is likely an issue with their plugin, NOT with wordpress.

I work as a freelancer for the Innovation Investment Journal (www.iijiij.com), which is on WordPress.

A couple of months ago we decided to put the Publitweet widget onto the website. I grabbed the code and tested it on the website on one of the pages - all looked great. We then got the developers to tweak the widget to fit it into one of the columns on the website and this all seemed to work fine.

We've added the widget to our Home page and also into the Related Links column on all of the article pages. Everything works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but the widget won't load at all in Internet Explorer.

I contacted the Publitweet team for help with this issue but they replied that they use Macs and don't have this problem - and if I find a way of solving it to let them know!

I know the widget can be made to work in IE as Robert Scoble uses it on the Scobleizer blog (http://scobleizer.com/), although I'm not sure if he uses WordPress.

If anybody here uses WordPress and has managed to get the Publitweet widget to work in IE, I would be really greatful for some tips on how to do this.

But there is a possibility of a conflict between the editor and this theme because I've used the editor in another theme where it displays what I was trying to do fine on all browsers. Even if the editor is totally at fault it still conflicts with this particular theme and that information is often useful to the developers. To say it has nothing to do with the theme at all is a bit premature don't you think?

I'm not trying to be ungrateful, mind you. I really do appreciate your help and have contacted support.

Please do not BUMP threads. Doing so is more likely to get the wrong kind of attention ie. Volunteers who ignore your threads than it is to get us to jump to your beck and call. The usual turn around time on support forums for answers to questions posed is 12 - 24 hours.

I am not convinced that this is a Theme related issue at all. I believe this is an issue with the TinyMCE editor.

I really hate bringing this up but I believe I've encountered a bit of a bug concerning the Andrea theme. I apologize upfront if this has already been addressed. I did a quick search and didn't find anything relating to this so I figured I'd make a post. Rather than repeat myself again, I made a post on the particular blog in question regarding the matter. It contains all the details and workarounds attempted thus far. However I'll summarize what the problem real quick is so that it's recorded in this post.

Images placed in tables do not appear in Internet Explorer 8+. When run in compatibility mode they do show up but unless you have that feature active, it won't show up in standard mode. Images in tables do show up in Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, & Firefox. I've confirmed this with a couple of other bloggers who visit the site. Again, please visit the link above for a full run down of the situation. Thanks for your time.

Hello, I recently added the sidebar widget "Executable PHP Widget" so that i could write PHP code into a sidebar widget. This was because i did not like the default sidebar widget look/feel of my current theme (45 Degrees 1.0 by Igor Penjivrag).

It looks beautiful in Apple Safari and Firefox, but in Google Chrome and IE6 it appears broken and missing many of the widgets. Does anyone know what is needed to resolve this issue? It is quite frustrating, as many of my readers likely use IE. Thank you.

Hi there,

I'm just wondering if there's a 'secret' tool/software/plugin out there that you guys usually use to identify whats wrong with a website ? I'm using Firebug with PageSpeed on Firefox and Chrome, and IE Tester for IE and I can't seem to identify what's wrong with this site (www.styled2race.com) if I open it it IE.

Firefox & Chrome opens without problems and everything works as intended, but in IE it seemed that the browser is trying to process something so big that it stopped responding for about a good minute or two, and after that everything works.

Surely this is not the experience I want my visitors to have - I tried minifying css, spreading the image load to parallel servers, using the Page Cache Plugins, at the last resort last night I disabled all Javascript by taking the script out of the HEAD tag - but it still has the same problem !!

Have any of you ever encountered this ?
