Yes you can disconnect the app.

If you wish to you can use RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.

You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

NOTE: The likes stats for Facebook shares and the Tweet stats apply to the original blog URL. They are gone.

As you charged the URL of the blog you need to disconnect the app and reconnect using the new URL if you want to use Publicize.

Yes I did change the URL. By removing the app do you mean removing the connection to Facebook then re-establishing it? Or is there a way to disable Publicize totally?

By changing the name of the blog do you mean that you chnage tghe URL starting with http:// by doing this? http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
If that's the case then you need to remove the app and reconnect it to the correct URL.

I do use publicize but I didn't disconnect the app. It happened after I changed the name of the blog, but besides that I didn't do anything.

For some reason all of my stats in terms of facebook likes and tweets have been erased for every post. Can someone look into this for me? My url is http://leftandcenter.com. Thanks!

Hi!
When adding a widget in the right sidebar a grey line appears that goes accross the text, from left to right, when the widget ends.
I deleted the line "border-bottom: 1px solid #E5E5E5;" in the .widget_body in the CSS sheet but the line remains here.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but the person reported that it was not working on IE9 and the post under "Latest Posts" was running into the text under "In Other News." I double checked on Mozilla and Chrome and it works fine, but I also experienced the same problem on IE9.

That's called spamdexing and search engines like Google and will bury you content where the sun don't shine for doing that over-tagging.

The rule of thumb is to assign the least combined number of categories and tags that accurately describe the post content.

As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

The blog looks fine in IE8 and as IE9 and IE10 are the most recent versions note that IE7 is not supported and has not been for over a year now.

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Hi guys,

I've been blogging on a Mac and was recently made aware that my blog looks horrible when visited on IE!
I've read threads on images disappearing and text looking odd, but I can't even see my text!

I don't paste text from Word - I noticed that could've been a problem. I write directly in the text box WordPress provides.

I solved the problem! :)
I'm using a japanese Mac and I didn't realize my text had an invalid character which corrupted the post. That's why it didn't appear in the feed reader!
I found the character, deleted it, cleared cache and cookies and restarted my browser. My post finally showed up in the feed reader, yeah! :D

I tried everything that was suggested online. I removed 2 tags, 1 category and some links to images . I edited the post. I cleared cache and cookies and refreshed my browser.
Nothing: my post still hasn't appeared in the Reader. If I search for categories it shows up, but it's not in the general feed page. I can see all of my followers posts except mine.
Please note that I've never edited this post date and time.
Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong, please? Thanks!

It haven't showed up in the Reader yet! What's the problem this time? I've used 12 total categories and tags, there are no weird links, nothing strange. I can't understand.
It took me many hours to write that post, it's about an important topic and I'm pretty upset I can't have all the visibility it deserves.
Could you please check and have it appear in the Reader?

Exactly which version of IE are you referring to please. Only version IE8 and upward are supported.

We have been using the standard Splendio theme (no css). The drop down menu on "Language Lessons" gets cut off in Internet Explorer, but not Chrome or Mozilla. How would we be able to fix this problem?

I use the CSS editor extensively in my daily work, and I haven't run into this problem. I just tested my own test blog as well as the CSS editor for http://schiphenotype.com/ and I was able to save new CSS rules (which I then removed). I used Chrome 25 in my test. It also appears that you are the only one who has posted an issue like that, so I don't think it's a widespread issue and it could be related to something local to your network or to your browser settings.

Can you try a few things?

Try logging out of WordPress.com, clear your browser cache, and then log back in and re-test the CSS editor.

Try an alternate browser. If it works, then the issue is with the browser settings.

Try an alternate computer if you have one in the same location. If another computer works, then the issue is computer settings on the first one.

Try an alternate location. If it works, the issue is with your local network.

If you can't seem to isolate where the problem happens for you, could you provide a few more details about what's going wrong? Is the editor box on the Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page in your blog missing, unresponsive, or are you able to type into the editor but saving doesn't keep the edits? If the last thing is what's happening, can you post the exact CSS your trying to add?

Recently, I've been having trouble with the CSS Editor found in Custom Design on my Structure Theme. I have added new css rules before without any issues but am currently not being allowed to literally add any new content to the stylesheet...only delete....The status for Custom Design is currently 'active'. When she comments on my blog I get an email notification. Whenever she does a blog I get no eamil at all. I got a friend to add her yesterday and my friend received the blog via email

What could stop me not getting her Blog's via email, but getting comments only?

I can see your dropdown now. The third item links to the main posts page, which means that the page "Movie Reviews" has erroneously been set as your posts page in Settings > Reading. You need to create a blank page in Pages > Add New, title it Posts or whatever you prefer, and set this page as your posts page.

When opening a new page that was created for my VeggieTales-related blog, I try to select it and it redirects to the wrong page. I've double-checked all the links and everything, but it simply loads the wrong content, for some reason.
The main issue is when I use the drop-down menu on the main page, there are three selections. The first directs to the corresponding page, the second does the same, but the third directs to a linked page for the second page.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any way to fix this?
