Only "action" that's happened with the site is someone filled out my contact form yesterday. Thank you.

I was wondering if it was possible to have the title of a post be italicized. I have done some searching around past posts in the forum and was unable to find anything except for this post which did not have any answers. Does posting italics in a post's title require knowledge of HTML or CSS?

Thanks, tried to find the answer myself but was unsuccessful.

Links must stand out, so making them show up as colored text is a frequent choice. (Haven't you noticed what all the links in your sidebar widgets look like?)
When you use the italics button, the HTML tags that are added are the em tags. These literally stand for emphasized text; most designers make them result in italicized text, but the designer of Fjords had the quirky idea of making them result in pinkish bold text.
You can change both on a case-by-case basis using code in the Text editor (if you're interested in this let us know), or you can change them once for all if you buy the Custom Design upgrade, or you can switch to a different theme.

In my compose screen (for page or post) the italics are normal like this, but on my actual blog, once the writing is published, instead of an italic appearance, all the words coded as italics are a bold font (green color). I have been through every setting on every option in my dashboard and can't figure out how to override this.

The words that are linked to another webpage are a similar problem: they are bold and a pink color. It looks very unprofessional. :)

Just in case is copying and pasting from Microsoft WORD or elsewhere I'm posting this here.

Microsoft Word is a word processing program that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

I am having a similar problem. Some of my posts are appearing in italics on the front page but are not in italics when I click on that individual post. I have checked and re-checked for misplaced or tags while in the text editor to no avail. I have also completely removed italicized text from certain posts, leaving no tags at all, and they are still showing up in italics. I tried two different themes--same problem. The problem posts appear in italics on the main page, but not when I click on their titles and not when I click on 'view post' after editing them. I even deleted some of the problem posts, thinking there was an issue with code clinging to items I cut and pasted from Evernote, and then the remaining posts which HADN'T previously been italicized started appearing that way after the deletions. I searched support and forums trying to find out whether this was some kind of 'mark as read' or something with the theme, and can't find anything. It's driving me insane! Any help would be appreciated.

The address in question is [email redacted].
