Hi, when writing articles, I love using the full screen view, however the kitchen sink does not have 'underline' as one formatting feature while it has 'bold' and 'italics'. It's often pain staking to have to return to the orthodox, non-full screen view and have to place underlines all over again.

Hopefully this one button can be added to this minimalistic (<3) menu! Thanks for an otherwise, perfect service.

Thank you for your quick answer, timethief. I am not working in full screen distraction free writing mode nor is Visual Editor disabled in my user profile.

But on further checking I see that I was making a dumb error, looking at HTML view on the blog where I thought kitchen sink was missing. Clicking Visual solved what had mystified me.

Thanks again.

If you are an Admin on the blog this should not be happening.

Check to make sure that the Visual Editor is not disabled in your user profile.
Access your Personal Settings and uncheck the Disable the visual editor when writing option in the Personal Options section.

Also are you working is full screen distraction free writing mode?

I have read many of the messages about ideas regarding missing kitchen sink buttons but they all seem to be for people who have INSTALLED WordPress.

Since I am not installing it but using WordPress.com for two blogs I am starting this as a new topic, asking for help getting Kitchen Sink available for when I am writing and editing posts for http://birdcreekblues.wordpress.com.

This is not a browser issue nor a Flash issue because I am using the same browser (Chrome) writing and editing posts on the other blog http://onlytechchanges.wordpress.com and there kitchen sink is available and works fine.

The only difference I know of is that I have had 'birdcreekblues' running for several years while I began 'onlytechchanges' just two days ago. Maybe 'birdcreekblues' never had the kitchen sink; I just learned about kitchen sink when starting with 'onlytechchanges'.

Anyone have the solution?

Best regards,

Everytime I'm writing a new post, there are certain buttons on the Kitchen Sink that aren't working - such as the Toggle Fullscreen Mode, Align Left, Centre, Right etc. Whenever I try to click them, I get a message saying that there's an error on the page, and the button becomes unclickable thereafter.

I recently had to reboot my computer, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problems I'm having.

If anyone can help me out then I'd be grateful.

I started one of my blogs at WordPress a couple of years ago, but didn't start updating it untill recently.
Here's my problem: I still have the old "tool box" when I'm writing (i.e. I don't have the Rich editing/"Kitchen Sink"-thing from TinyMCE I know others have).

How do I update the tool box?
