Hello.

I have a self-hosted blog using the WordPress software, I moved my blog from bejiitaswrath.com to the new URL, but my comment followers listing page here: http://www.securitronlinux.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats&comment_subscribers has the links leading back to the old domain. I looked in the wp-config.php and searched the database and came up empty. Is there a way to fix this? I am guessin this might be very simple to undertake but this is really annoying as it might be preventing my subscribers from unsubscribing if they wish and that is not a good thing.

Without the CSS upgrade, you can't change the space below widget titles you don't type yourself (for instance the Blogroll). The image widget is easy to adjust: open it, delete its title, save; drag a text widget above it, type deleted title in title box, save.

Hi - can anyone sort out a minor but irritating problem with my blog – menscookingmanual.wordpress.com – which uses the Pressrow theme? It's simply that the titles on the sidebar widgets crash into the tops of the boxes or images below them. I don't use custom CSS, and as this is such a side-issue I'd rather not have to get into code just to tweak a tiny bit of leading. Anybody got a simple bodge, cheat or trick to get a line space between the titles and the content below?

Thanks

Chris

It was actually published, yesterday.

I will try the suggestion from "thesacredpath", though - sounds like something the graphics geek over at the "big" blog where I'm an editor has done to the WP template we use over there.

In fact, I'll try it on that example I gave. First, let me back out of being logged in and repeat the url:

http://eideard.wordpress.com/2008/09/23/gps-navigation-devices-can-be-duped/

------

IT WORKS. That solved my problem. And I only use an "inserted" graphic once every day or so. No need to adjust every Post.

Thanks, Bro'...I'm switching over to 1.9, now -- many more positives than negatives for me, now.

One temporary solution is to add vspace to your images. 2 or 3 px should do it. After inserting the image, click on it and then click on the edit image button at the upper left of the image, enter the vspace amount and then click "update image."

Also, if I were you, I would sent this request in to staff. http://wordpress.com/contact-support/

Recalling that the same problem existed in 1.3 - and was resolved - I still have hopes of switching to 1.9. Here's what frustrates me about the switch. Not enough white space around a graphic inserted into the body of text in a post.

Take a look at http://eideard.wordpress.com/2008/09/23/gps-navigation-devices-can-be-duped/?preview=1&template=pub/journalist&stylesheet=pub/journalist

When this is published in the 1.9 version of the theme, the text abutting the graphic is squeezed tightly against the image. We had this problem with 1.3 and a fix was eventually built-in. I hope the developers will do the same with 1.9.

Any suggestions for a workaround? I'd like to go back to trying 1.9. I do like the new look - especially the sans serif font.

The spacing in the sidebar is controlled by the margin and padding properties of the list items. So you have to remove the default values for the single list items and add some space to the bottom of the individual widgets:

#menu ul li ul li {margin:0;padding:0;}<br />
#menu ul li {margin-bottom:1.5em;}

Try to add this to the bottom of your CSS and see if it works.
